The tenth studio album by Aerosmith. The album has certified sales of seven million copies in the U.S. to date, and is tied with its successor "Get A Grip" as Aerosmith's second best-selling studio album ("Toys In The Attic" leads with eight million). It produced a variety of successes and "firsts" for the band including their first Grammy Award ("Janie's Got A Gun"). "Love in an Elevator" became the first Aerosmith song to hit #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Additionally, it is the only Aerosmith album to date to have three Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and three #1 singles on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album was the fourth bestselling album of the year 1990.

      Really nice sounding pressing. Luckily the ridiculously tight and static-y inner sleeve didn’t damage the record, although it did cover it in crap. Remove with caution!

        This one sounds pretty weak. Too trebly, weak on lows, messy soundstage. Dirty record, warped. Cleaned it and compared it with my old German CD, which is much better. Don't know about other pressings on vinyl, but seems like you can just buy old CD if you're primarily interested in sound quality.

              Sounds terrific on my system. Loads of bass when it’s meant to be there - for example, on ‘Janie’s Got a Gun’ the bass absolutely cooks and is super prominent. A great pressing of a great album. Buy with confidence.

                I respect anyone posting opinions here as pure, and unmotivated by any ulterior motives, and it would help all readers to know what the playback kit is being used to form opinions. I played this LP with enjoyment on a Rega P6, DynaVector 10x5MkII, EAR Phono Classic, Parasound HINT 6, ATC SCM11s. Perhaps I got a better pressing than others - or have less critical ears. dunno. I can say the playback was enjoyable, with the power of the compositions and playing coming through as hard rock would wont to do. Additionally, while I am not a big color vinyl guy, this purple is perhaps the most vibrant of any color vinyl in my collection. Pleased I have added this to my collection. Cheers.

                  I have 4 versions of pump. this game is bad.. flat, there is a dymika error.

                    Same as original vinyl. Sounds awful, maybe because was mixed and mastered digitally in bad way, do not have any bass, except barely on final tracks. Checking the frequency response I discovered there's huge lacking on bass, it swings from 80hz to 200-300hz on the first tracks and between 60hz to 200-300hz in the final tracks, that's why the bass do not have any punch below these frequencies. Also the other frequencies are not well balanced, 4-6khz are too high. As well on the SACD Ultimate Hits version tracks, so is not the vinyl or my playback system, this album is badly mixed and mastered.
