My father read this book many, many times to my son when he was little. I wanted to get it for my son as he just became a dad himself! The book came on Father's Day just minutes before my son & his little family arrived for a visit! My dad passed 10 years ago & I think he might have helped Amazon with the timing of the delivery. My son loved his gift!

My 4 year old grandson loved Julius. It was one of my son's favorite books when he was 3-6 years old. He loved all of Syd Hoff's books and memorized them quickly from the pictures and then the words.

Syd Hoff stories are still great. We love to read and reread Julius, Oliver, and Danny and the Dinosaur. Illustrations are brightly colored and each page has a short sentence that is easy to remember for young readers.
