Gaynor Brennan Golf Course and 2 miles from Stamford train station. Decorated with classic wood furnishings, the understated rooms feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Suites add kitchenettes and/or pull-out sofas. Upgraded suites offer separate living rooms; 1 has a whirlpool tub. Room service is available. Other amenities consist of a 24-hour gym and over 30,000 sq ft of meeting space. Parking is offered for a fee.

Really good experience, the reception was lovely, it was beautiful and quiet. Not busy at all The room did have a problem because of the lock at the door whose battery had apparently ran low, but as soon as we let the reception know it was fixed and promptly resolved. The room was clean and comfortable.
The only downside is that we had to pay for parking twice for some reason. We did pay overnight and when checking out it charged us again, so be on the lookout for that.

YOU MUST READ THIS! my stay was excellent. Spacious room with king size bed. Every single staff member I interacted with gave me a smile and was extremely courteous, helpful and kind. 4 people specifically stood out for their outstanding service and hospitality. Mohammad, the food and beverage manager went out of his way to accommodate my requests and did so cheerfully and efficiently. Teresa, my breakfast server made sure both my water and coffee cup stayed full, and did so with a smile. I also got to meet David, the chef who made my eggs Florentine breakfast. He was not only courteous, but was humble and thankful in regards to my compliments of his cooking. That man is a an expert in his craft. Best eggs Florentine I have ever had. And Mellesa at the front desk was very nice and asked me how my stay was and made sure I was happy upon my check out. Your hotel is not only clean and friendly but the lobby is very appealing to the eyes upon entry. Keep doing what you are doing. Thank you for a pleasant and enjoyable stay at your hotel. Five Stars!

My compliments to the Restaurant Services Staff. Mohammad, Roger, John, Teresa, and the rest of the staff are very courteous, efficient, customer-centric, and friendly. Combined with the delicious food, making Breakfast & Dinner relaxed & enjoyable experiences while away from home and at the start & end of the workday.

Just had surgery a week before trip, we checked in and that morning we went down for breakfast and I couldn’t hold the plate because of my surgery in my hand and wrist and had a brace on my arm, Muhammad the restaurant manager came over and took the plate and offered to make my breakfast order for me which was the best thing ever. He was so awesome. He even went as far as carrying it to the table for me and helped me with the kids.. We are staying 3 days and I know if it’s great today it’s gonna be even better the next 2..

Dont stay here. I booked through bookings.com and the hotel would not honor the reservation. In looking through the reviews, they appear to do this often. They are privately owned and cater to conferences for a specific demographic - and will screw you if that demographic needs your room. go elsewhere.

We arrived at the Crown Plaza Stamford after a very long and tedious drive through New York rush hour traffic from Virginia only to find that although we may have confirmed reservations since May that the hotel was now closed to the public. A very rude man behind the desk informed me "We are closed, there is nothing we can do for you." Don't trust confirmations on your computer call the hotel. IHG needs to update this hotel.

Arrived early Sunday evening to find a nearly empty hotel. One clerk to check me in. Not fast. In fact, every time I headed out there was only one person at check in/out. Not unusual to find 4-5 waiting in line at peak times.
The on-site restaurant has a very limited menu and doesn't open until 8 a.m. on weekdays. Across the street is an IHOP, a funeral home, a gas station, and a donut shop. You'll Uber to find a decent restaurant.
The room was fine, bed comfortable etc. and seemed updated.
I almost never saw anyone in the hotels' giant atrium. Also, there's only one elevator bank so you'll likely walk a long way to get to your room. There were also no baggage handlers or doormen to be found.
Stay here only if it's close to something important to you. Otherwise, find a higher quality Stamford hotel that's closer to restaurants etc.

I stayed here in Aug 2023. I will start off by saying that the Neopolitana restaurant in the hotel is fantastic. Delicious food and excellent service. As far as the hotel, the lobby area is magnificent and the check-in staff was polite and helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated but the floors were sticky and there was a huge bug in my bed. I could not sleep all night after seeing the bug. Rooms need to be cleaned better but everything else was nice.

I Would like to thank James Brooks at the front desk for making my stay so much easier. He was very kind and I felt welcomed. I arrived to my reservation Very late but he did not give a hard time at all. The room was great and clean, there was no issues & breakfast was tasty. Thank you James! We will be back.
