Dmitry Samarov Chicago Reader The framing device of setting different stories in the same location is a well-worn trope, but it works beautifully here, lending a starting point for three very different visions. Dave C "Deeply, alluringly weird" is a perfect summation of this anthology! What is incredible, is how quickly each ‘chapter' entices you. The first tale is very dark, with similarities to The Shining, and the stitched doll-like nature of the animation enhances the sinister undertones perfectly. The second and third creations are wired with dark comedy, and satire. A wonderfully strange little anthology! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Leo F Incredible animation, incredible score, each story was great. My favorite was the 2nd. A wonderful watch for the whole family. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Camila R I enjoyed and recommend The House, especially if you're a fan of stop motion. The stories are also quite creative and the characters are very interesting. Overall, it's a good film, worth watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Madison T I would recommend it to anyone who loves Coraline and anything dark that gives you something to think about. I adore dark and deep stuff like this. It reminds me a lot of Coraline with the small Easter eggs connecting themselves in each but honestly, this was its own thing altogether. I'm hoping for a second season. First of all, I love how each story was a masterpiece on its own and didn't completely revolve around the house. The character design was so different and unique from their styles to their personality and their problems in each. Another thing is how each story gives you something to chew on days after you finish it. Plenty to think about. The last was a really sweet story to top it all off. left me with a nice warm and fulfilled feeling that makes me want to return for more. In the end, all I can say to sum it up is that this was wonderful. I feel like a lot of the other reviews were from people who didn't know what they were getting into. DO NOT watch if you don't like dark stuff that makes you think. the only comedy in this is in the second story but that's also the darkest episode that will make you feel slightly sick and very unsettled. enjoy <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/16/23 Full Review Susanah F An amazing experience, just took breath out of my lungs. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/28/23 Full Review Edip Necdet A The first one was pretty excited to watch and to see the end. But the others were too boring to watch. Audience literally was pushing themselves to take the messages from the movie. It was a disaster! Such a waste of time. Only thing was good in general, being aware of the effort to do this kind of animation. Except then, don't recommend to watch it.
