A Non-Biased Comparison between Curve 8250 and Bold
- Hey guys.
My company has just got the Curve 8250 and currently i have the bold 9000.
I have the choice of using this.
Free of charge. Just wondering if the Curve is better. I have the curve infront of me, and its smaller. I have big hands but i can get used to it.
Im just wanting some advice from you guys whos had it a while.
thanks for your input, in advance

I've never tried an 8900 so it's not fair to compare, but if you do switch, you'll be happy with the phone.01-26-10 07:09 AMLike 0 - I honestly wouldn't change. That would be only if you don't have memory issues with your Bold. I like my curve, its fast, sleek, I have big hands and I can type quite comfortably, the camera is ok in daylight. IMO the trackpad isn't that much a big deal over the ball, my gf's 8350i was just as easy to use. But if the Bold runs great for you, then keep it. Unless you prefer the slimmer design and trackpad. I was planning on buying a Bold 9000 mainly because of the 3G. But, like I said, it depends on what you think of, and feel about your Bold.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com01-26-10 09:10 AMLike 0 - The app memory alone is a pretty gigantic advantage that the 8520 has over the 9000 (I've already owned a 9000). It's a matter of preference which is "better".
The 8530 is no question better imo, because it has 3G as well. The 8520 is more iffy, depending on how much you value 3G (I do a lot).
Other than that it's the obvious you probably already know:
-adjusting to the lower screen res (it's not as much of an issue as I thought)
-adjusting to the smaller keyboard
-Camera is basically similar, but no flash
Benefits are the trackpad which is much nicer, better OS, longer support lifecycle (a new, entry level device will definitely get support longer than the previous gen Bold), media convenience keys, the form factor design is better (The Bold battery door and bezel are somewhat problem prone compared to the newer designs). The overall size is either a plus or minus, depending on preference. There is something nice about having the phone be so compact, even though I like the size on the 9000.01-26-10 12:38 PMLike 0 - The app memory alone is a pretty gigantic advantage that the 8520 has over the 9000 (I've already owned a 9000). Ill give it ago. But the resolution had dissapointed me a lil. Looks old. If you understand what i mean.
One question if i have 3g unlimited on my sim, and the 8520 is gprs will it charge me?
