Bobby BearHug

A kind, caring soul, Bobby BearHug shows compassion for everyone, and for everything. People and places and things, large or small, are all receivers of her love. Each is enriched by this attention and affection, and in turn, so is she.
Bobby BearHug's Twitter/X description[1]

Bobby BearHug is a toy produced by Playtime Co. who debut in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep. She resides in Playcare with the rest of the Smiling Critters line-up. Miniature plush versions of her reside in Playcare with the rest of the Smiling Critters line-up. Two security statues of her appear in Home Sweet Home ,the one is broken, the other is active,The Player must get a battery from the active one.

Appearance

Bobby BearHug is an anthropomorphic bear with red fur, black eyes, a black nose, rounded ears, and padded paws. Her paws and upper-snout are a lighter shade of red, similar to the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, Bobby BearHug is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and she possesses a zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a ruby-colored heart pendant.

Bobby BearHug's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.

Audio

Hi! I'm Bobby BearHug! Wanna know how much I love you?

I love you to the moon and back!

I'm crazy about you!

I'm lost without you...

I've been lost a long time...

Please, take me with you this time!

You won’t leave me, will you?

Personality

According to her Twitter description, Bobby BearHug possesses warm and appreciative qualities, similar to how Huggy Wuggy was designed. She cares deeply about her friends and everything around her, and will presumably act as a peacemaker if a fight breaks out amidst the crew. However, Bobby can also be seen as naive, as she may care about someone who doesn't have her best intentions at heart.

Like the other Smiling Critters, Bobby BearHug showcased an unnerving and maniacal personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during their sleepover. When CatNap helped them fall sleep via his Poppy Gas, Bobby showed signs of insanity, addiction, and mania when inhaling the sleeping agent, laughing hysterically with the others until she passed out.

History

Background story

Bobby BearHug was created as a member of the Smiling Critters toy-line. Soon after, her miniature versions were created, and a Bigger Bodies counterpart work in Playcare.

The Bigger Bodies Initiative version of Bobby BearHug, dubbed Experiment 1186, was created to interact with the children. However, there were issues in the process of her creation. Bobby showed a lack of awareness of her surroundings and she did not respond to audio stimuli, indicating a distortion or total lack of sensory function. Bobby also could not speak, despite being able to move her mouth, and she could not keep her balance when she stood up. It was indicated that she would need to return to surgery to fix these issues.

Chapter 3: Deep Sleep

A miniature Bobby BearHug appears as a hostile plush toy in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep. Bobby BearHug, along with the rest of the Ruined Critters, chase The Player in the Playhouse. Using the GrabPack's orange hand, the Player has to shoot a flare at her to scare her away. If Bobby BearHug gets too close, then she jumpscares them by lunging at their face. Later on, several versions of her crawl inside of DogDay's exposed torso while one crawls into one of his eyes wound to control him and chase after The Player.

Bobby BearHug also appears as a statue, (presumably used to keep watch over the kids) in Home Sweet Home. The statue moves in a 360 circle and detects movement. She is powered by a battery that The Player needs to escape. There are two ways to collect the battery from her back, the first being sneaking up behind her by crouching, and the second being running fast circles around her and eventually glitching the code and grabbing the battery.

Lack of direct evidence to prove her death, but DogDay says he is the "last" of the Smiling Critters.
