I absolutely hate it when studios WASTE time and effort on these idiotic recaps. Literally NO ONE cares nor even likes these types of episodes. All that effort put into making these recaps could have gone into making new episodes. The viewer base is VERY MUCH willing to wait for NEW episodes not old episodes rehashed into one giant dumb movie.

To all the naysayers there are scenes that are different to the original run and added scenes and dialogues from the novel that were not included. This is well worth the watch.

So the first season halved and put into 2 movies. A few extra scenes and a lot made faster. Good for rewatching tbh

Is it just me not having seen this in a while? or are there added bits to this "movie" from the LN that were not in the anime show during that season? Seems like the editors went back and got a chance to put things in that were cut due to time constraints?

Personally, I love that they added these condensed (and sometimes corrected) recaps. Y'all forget that it has been a few years since season 1. This is an excellent way to catch up new viewers and drive interest in the upcoming new film.

This isnt just a rerun of old shows, theres some light being shone o who shaltear actually lost to and who hit her with the mind control stuff. Give these a chance. Plus its Overlord, great watch irregardless if its just "reruns"

It's as if almost none of the viewers on crunchyroll read anything before they start watching something. This would be surprising, except the vast majority of people aren't even paying attention to where they're walking or driving. I, for one, am very appreciative of a three-hour recap of over a dozen hours of content that aired four years ago.

People in the comments don't appreciate how much tighter the storytelling is in these movies. As good as the show is, I would rather watch these two movies than the first season, because they present most of it that much better. Though Brain definitely got mad disrespect and they could have done that better.

why not dedicate 10 minutes or less to a recap like most series do? rather than a movie with altered dialogues. Take the series, welcome to demon school iruma kun. keep it short sharp and straightforward then it allows people to have a quick refresher on what happened prior seasons.

i say this, yes there are some scenes not included in the original run but all of them together does not count up to a single episode between both of these useless movies no offense mind you but come on why would you use so much money and time to make a movie of just a recap or just the original season replayed with tiny snipits of new video just to apease the lore geeks i will admit sometimes these movies are nice when they actually have new material but when the majority including myself are waiting for new episodes for so long just to have a whole ass rewind with no new video, scenes, or info is kinda maddening to watch this in hopes of (new info) but just to have the episodes we can rewatch at any time played to us after all that waiting time im just saying try to appease the majority not the minority and invest into new episodes or actual movies please and i mean no insult to your hard work or effort its just annoying that you dont invest in actually continuing the story or show at all instead you make these movies that are appreciated but honestly spirit killing well I'm done complaining and meant no harm or insult by it love your guys show and story but all i ask for is more episodes or a huge movie to end it all for closure again thank you for creating this and I hope it continues for a good bit atleast either way i appreciate it thank you

Another clipshow 'movie' but at least it is enjoyable. And it looks like a few extras were sprinkled in. So, I suppose we will inevitably see the next 'movie' be about S3? In part or whole? And then we get the actual movie we're all waiting for?
