 Check-in Timeframes

All customers can check-in online, free of charge, up to 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure.
Our check-in timeframes vary depending on purchasing a seat.

Check-in from 60 days before flight departure

For convenience and peace of mind, customers can check-in for flights 60 days in advance of both departure flights by purchasing a seat or if they have a Flexi Plus ticket.  Both outbound and return flights must be within 60 days of departure.  Customers can select where they would like to sit and choose to sit together if travelling with a group.

Check-in from 24 hours before flight departure

If you choose not to purchase a seat, you will be able to check-in 48 hours in advance of each departure flight for bookings made prior to January 28, 2021, and 24 hours in advance for bookings made as of January 28, 2021 and a seat will be allocated to you (free of charge).
It is important to remember that both outbound and return flights must be made within the above specified time frames in order to avail of a free, randomly allocated seat. You always have the option to purchase a seat in order to check-in outside of the above windows.

Check-in procedure for OTA bookings

You may not be able to check-in online where you purchased your flight through a third party website such as an online travel agent (OTA) which is not authorized by us to use our website or app to offer our flights for sale, and which does so in breach of the Terms of Use of our website (including the mobile app and any webpage and/or data that passes through the web domain at ryanair.com). For safety and security purposes, the check-in must be completed by passengers who booked via an OTA personally, by a passenger on the same booking, or by an individual agent with personal knowledge of the content of the luggage of all the passengers of the booking, to ensure all passengers are on notice of, and have confirmed compliance with required flight safety, security and public health protocols, including those set out by the ICAO Technical Instructions, Regulation (EU) 2015/1998, and the EASA/ECDC Covid-19 Aviation Health Safety Protocol. Airport check-in for passengers who have booked through an OTA, and therefore cannot complete check-in online, is offered free of charge.

Airport Check-in Fees

Airport check-in is available but charges will apply. Customers who have not checked in online will encounter an airport check in fee, which is £/€55 (for flights from Spain €/£ 30) per passenger. If you have checked in but you have not printed your boarding pass, you will be charged for the boarding pass reissue fee, which is £/€20 per passenger.
