- Timothy LMiami, FL3 contributionsNice place to visit to learn about the history, culture and animals that are in Guyana. The museum is free of charge, and you can stay as long as you like.Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Denise M23 contributionsIt was at the end of the dry season in an el nino year, so probably the worst time to visit a botanical garden. Despite this, and it being in s state of almost complete desolation for decades, it's home to a manatee and hundreds of birds. Seeing those made it worthwhile. It's also an iconic place in my family lore, so other descendents of Guyanese people from Georgetown might want to visit and imagine how it was in its glory days.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Miles ArcherBoca Raton, FL7,192 contributionsVery scenic. An escape from the city. Rather busy when I was here. A good place to visit alone or as a couple. - Patrick16 contributionsThis park in the heart of the Georgetown is a fun way to spend a few hours. There are many birds we saw, the super cute and friendly manatees, and some food and shaved ice vendors for a nice snack.
It was super fun to grab some long grass and feed the manatees! Unfortunately, there's a lot of trash in the ponds, canals, and even just thrown around randomly at the park. I would have given this park 5 stars if it was cleaned up more, because it really is a beautiful little part of the city.Written March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well organized and excellent family fun. Mainly in the evening for families after work. Racing now international meets. Worth a visit on a weekend. Noisy of course.
Good eats as wellWritten March 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Fiona C4 contributionsWe went with wilderness explorers to kaieteur
Falls. The trip was excellent although getting final confirmation that we were going was difficult so it was hard to book other tours. The falls were amazing and well worth the trip.
We also had a city tour with them - the guide was good and knowledgeableWritten April 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
