This is the second book in the Molly Moon series.

This time, Molly has promised to stop using her hypnotic powers because they are too "dangerous", but she misses the sensation that she gets when hypnotizing people and the fusion feeling, so she attemps to hypnotize objects instead of people one time when she is wearing a diamond around her neck and it freezes time! And Molly is summoned by Lucy Logan, a librarian and the sister of Cornelius Logan (the author of Molly's hypnotism book), to stop this evil American billionare and hypnotist named Primo Cell who has all the celebrities under his power and is plotting to become President and take over the world!

Ohhh, this is cool. Just like the previous book, Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism, it features an excellent plot, colourful and likeable characters, lots of humour, and a positive message. Except it's even more exciting!

I'd recommend this book to just about anyone, but you should definitely read the first book first. There are some confusing parts, but that's the fun of it.

GO MOLLY MOON!

P.S. There's gonna be a movie of the first one!

What does the first half of a children’s book from 2003 and the 2016 presidential election have in common? An evil business man turned politician who keeps literal children in cages while working closely with his adult children and celebrities and a catchy campaign slogan focused on the word America. That being said, this is genuinely one of the funniest books I’ve maybe ever read. I was laughing alone in my bedroom at the marvelous curiosity that is Molly Moon herself. No one else is brave enough to drink pure grenadine neat, dissociate in the car, come up with the Birds Aren’t Real movement, and tackle the entire institution of capitalism and the hideous car-centered cities that come with the fact. She’s a girlboss who wishes she had a gun and supports working class rights. I found myself taking extensive highlights nearly every chapter because there was always something just so funny. There were also some tremendously profound moments, with Rocky creating his own religious experiences centered on love and kindness, Molly and Forest having a deep conversation in celebrity in our culture and the pure luck that catapults them above the rest of us, who are simply “stardust” not “stars”, and Molly realizing she is an independent person outside of her parents and the rest of the world and she can be whoever she wants. Molly is such a plucky and earnest protagonist who makes it impossible not to love her and everyone else she loves. This will be a hard book to top in this series, but I’m looking forward to continuing it.

Molly Moon Stops The World is about Molly Moon, an orphan with mind - blowing hypnotic powers. She is able to induce people using a procedure called hypnotic induction. After learning how to hypnotize people all over the world, rescuing her pet pug Petunia from being dog-napped, you'd think Molly would have had enough adventures to last a lifetime. However, the evildoers of the world simply aren't done doing evil. Molly soon finds herself on a plane to Los Angeles, where she and her best friend Rocky discover that Primo Cell, a powerful, rich public figure, has been controlling celebrities - and has learned how to stop time! Of course, that is not enough for Cell. Now he wants to be President of the United States! When Molly, Rocky and Petula the pug meet him at the Oscars they make some astonishing discoveries. Can Molly’s mesmerizing eyes stop the most dangerous man in the world?

This book will take you on a heart stopping adventure filled with magical events. At the beginning of the book, it was quite boring as the writer describes too much about the characters of the book. The characters description was boring because they put too much adjectives in one sentence and I don’t think that is that good .Although,I think that they described Molly Moon very well in the start of the book. But other than that, once I really got into the story, I could not put the book down, I couldn't wait to find out how Molly saved the world. At first, I felt as if I knew what was going to happen but then the book took me on a roller coaster ride which changed my initial thoughts about it and it even kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.

The setting of the scenes in the book were quite interesting. I could picture every scene without a hitch due to the description of the book. I also think that the author’s writing was also quite good because I could understand the story really well and this book is also very understandable for young kids. It has an even amount of flowery words and simple words. After I finished the book, I had learnt about 30 new words from it. It’s always good to learn new things everyday and this book surely helped me increase my vocabulary!

In conclusion, I really enjoyed reading this book and I would totally recommend this book to young readers, probably from the age of 10-15. Overall, its a good book and it is totally worth your time to read it. Georgia Byng is an amazing author and I am looking forward to read more books written by her!

Better than the first one. I cried a little at the end, not with the story itself but when I saw Georgia Byng's recommendation of "Holes" by Louis Sachar - another book that was very important to me when I was around 12 years old.

I remember why I loved this series so much now!
I didn't enjoy the first book when I reread it a couple of weeks ago, but this installment is absolutely fabulous. Molly's up against Primo Cell, who has hypnotised most of the stars in Hollywood to advertise his products. He's a multi-multi-billionaire with his eyes on a much bigger prize: he wants to become President of the United States and take over the world.
Molly, Rocky and Petula team up to try and take him down, balking when they confront him and he proudly admits he's a murderer, before trying to put them all out of action. Eek!
If you're looking for a fast-paced children's read that's not-so-light-hearted, this is the book for you. You don't even really need to read the first installment, as all of the events of the last novel are succinctly recapped throughout the story, meaning this would work beautifully as a standalone if you weren't willing to commit to a series.
Well, at least until THAT cliffhanger, which makes it impossible to resist reading book three (which I'm hoping to get to next week!).

2.5 stars. My kids are still really into this series. POSITIVE SIDE: There is even more action than in book #1. The twists and turns play largely in this read and had one of the boys talking excitedly nonstop on this fact. NEGATIVE: The characters and their directions of thoughts I was disappointed with. I just couldn't feel much for any of the characters with this one (book 2 of the series). I'm told books 3 and 4 are better.

A delightful children’s book that is remarkably obsessed with people trying to murder the shit out of the main character.
Also, wild to hear a Brit’s interpretation of Los Angeles. A local cab driver (strike 1) describes it as a “city of gardens.” I truly have no idea what Georgia Byng was on about.

Going into this I didn’t realize it was the second book in a series. I realized about a third of the way through when I felt like I was missing key pieces of information. At that point I was already committed so I figured it out from there. It was a really cute story. The imagery and overall descriptive writing were really strong. I was totally able to visualize the characters, and the story as it was moving along. There were a lot more twists than I was expecting. It’s supposed to be a book for ages 8-12 but some parts felt a little too violent and scary (?) for an 8 year old to read. With that said, overall a 4 star read. (Also I learned how the presidential election works because of this book so thanks Molly moon)

I remembered very little of this plot from when I read it as a child. It’s pretty cute and definite keeps your attention. The story is interesting and overall I enjoyed the book. I do think hypnotism is a bit creepy though.

Molly Moon Stops The World written by Georgia Byng

The book Molly Moon, written by Georgia Byng is a fantastic book. It follows the main character, Molly, and her dog Petula’s adventure when discovering that Molly has time traveling powers! This book is exciting, thrilling, and mysterious all at the same time. If you don’t read this book, you missing out.
At first, Hollywood actress Molly Moon thinks that she is the only person in the world that can stop time, but as the book continues, Molly realizes that’s not true. When she is trying to control her powers by hypnotising objects, the world stops and Molly did nothing. This is when she realizes that she is not the only person who can stop the world. One day, Molly’s librarian friend sends her on a mission to find out who kidnapped Hollywood star, Davina Nuttel. Molly pieces together information about American Billionaire, Primo Cell. She then realizes that if there are people that can use hypnotism for good, there are people that can use it for bad. Worst of all, Cell can use his powers to permanently hypnotise people. As Cell is using his powers for bad, Molly is using hers trying to stop Primo Cell.
Anyone who enjoys reading exciting, thrilling, mysterious books would enjoy Molly Moon Stops The World. There are many jaw-dropping moments that make you wonder what it would be like to be able to stop the world whenever you feel like it. This book is not only action packed, but it is also science fiction making the anything possible. I believe that anyone could enjoy this book, but I also believe that girls would get the most enjoyment out of it. Considering the main characters are female. Overall, this is an interesting book that just makes you want to keep reading.

This, in my opinion was a good book. "Molly Moon Stops the World" by Georgia Byng is the second book of six in this series. Although, I will admit, I kind of liked the book better. In this book Molly still knows how to hypnotize people, but she prefers not to because of what happened in the last book. Her librarian friend, Lucy Logan, tells her the mysterious things going on with celebrities. After some digging, Molly and her friend Rocky find out that the culprit is a man named Primo Cell is hypnotizing his way through and is working on becoming president. Molly and Rocky head to Hollywood to catch Cell. While there, Molly finds out that a diamond that she wears gives her the power to stop time, but Primo Cell also has that power. When I got to the end of the book I was shocked. I didn't see it coming, but no spoilers. I thought it had a great ending to it. One of my favorites parts was when Molly found out she had this amazing gift and tried to tell Rocky. Of course he didn't believe her. So, she froze time and put all these weird objects on him to make him believe. When she unfroze time, Rocky was amazed, but confused at what she did. So yeah, I enjoyed reading this book.

Molly Moon Stops the World (Book 2) is one of those books that might seem for children after looking at the cover, but I would say that all teenagers should give a chance for this book. I would say that this book led me to enjoy reading. I loved how even though the main characters were around 11-years-old, they were capable to do so many things. The story and plot was very exciting and unlike any other book I have read. All the twists and turns Molly had to face kept me interested and curious to find what would happen next. This book actually made me happy to have the time to read. I would recommend this novel to anyone who wants a story that will keep them absorbed all the way from the beginning, to the end.

The Eight-Year-Old’s third grade classroom book shelf is the gift that keeps on giving. On Wednesday, The Eight-Year-Old discovered Molly Moon and her incredible talent for hypnotism. The Eight-Year-Old has been speaking to me with wide swirly eyes ever since.

That is, when she can bear to look up from her book at all. She even canceled Family Togetherness Masterchef Junior TV Time this week in favor of reading about Molly Moon’s hypnotic adventures in Hollywood.

These Molly Moon books must be exceptionally compelling reading. I thought nothing could come between The Eight-Year-Old and her affection for the nice version of Gordon Ramsey. I might have to read one of these books myself.

This book is the sequel (in other words the second book of the series) to the first molly moon book "molly moon's incredible book to hypnotism". This book is full of adventure and fun seeking quests. I personally enjoyed the characters and how much the author has put thought into there personality and thoughts. This book drew me in all the way from the start, Every now and then a new problem would come up and Molly and her friends would have to solve it and get past it.

There are 6 books in the molly moon series. All of them have got new ideas and problems, which many people like about in book series
In this book Molly is on a quest to find her mother, leading her to L.A America.
