Peter Craig

Born in 1969, Peter Craig is Field's eldest child, who she shares with her first husband, high school sweetheart Steven Craig. Peter Craig is a screenwriter with credits on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, Bad Boys for Life, The Batman and Top Gun: Maverick, the latter for which he was nominated for an Academy Award in 2023. He will also work on the sequel to Ridley Scott's Oscar-winning Gladiator. Peter Craig has been nominated for two Writers Guild of America Awards and a Critics Choice Movie Award.
In addition to screenwriting, Peter is also a published novelist.

Eli Craig

Eli Craig was born in 1972, the second of Field's children with Steven Craig. Eli Craig has worked as an actor, director and writer on various projects, including cult hit Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil and Little Evil. He's also directed an episode of Brothers and Sisters.

Samuel Greisman

Samuel Greisman is Field's youngest son and her only child with her second husband Alan Greisman. Sam is a director and producer of projects including Playing Men, After School, River Rats and Dinner With Jeffrey. Greisman is openly gay and has gushed about Field's support. While honoring his mother with the Ally for Equality Award at the 2012 Human Rights Campaign Gala, he said, “When I came out, she didn’t bat an eye. In fact, she was overjoyed. Being gay was just one more thing she loved about me. She couldn’t be more supportive of me—if anything, I wish she was a little less supportive of me.”
In 2012, Field said of raising Greisman, “It’s important to have a parent speak about raising a magnificent, proud, intelligent, funny, lovable, sexy gay son. There are so many parents who are frightened of that and who don’t embrace their children as they struggle to … embrace who they are, what nature intended them to be.”
