How do I get my Hotmail emails?

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand that you're having trouble accessing your Hotmail email account. It's possible that your Hotmail account has been merged with your Outlook.com account, which is why you're only seeing the latter.

Before proceeding, I'd like to ask a few questions.

• When was the last time that you were able to login to your Hotmail account

• Did you encounter any error message when you login to your Hotmail account?

• How do you access your email when sending/receiving emails? Is it through the Outlook mail app or on the Outlook.com web?

To access your Hotmail emails, you can try signing in to Outlook.com web and see your emails.

If you're still having trouble accessing your Hotmail emails, please let me know and I can provide further assistance.

1. Login last was yesterday 3/7/24.

2. No

3. Outlook.com web.

It seems that my Hotmail account disappears when a computer update happens, or I power off. I usually put the laptop on sleep and come back to it several times a day. Then the Outlook email goes to another outlook email account I set up of an organization I belong to. I went into my Microsoft acct. setting and removed that email from primary. Then I but the Hotmail email address in as primary. I've not tested it to see if that makes it return when powered off. When I asked the question, I was frantic to find the Hotmail email inbox since I have so much of my daily business on it. Thought I lost a lot of files that saved emails for me. If you have a better solution to this I could use in the future, please let me know.

To further assist you with this, I would recommend that you login your account to Outlook.com web through this link here and try resetting your account password. https://outlook.live.com/
