- Hanry1 contributionExploring Elefantastic with friends was an unforgettable experience filled with joy and wonder. We immersed ourselves in the sanctuary's activities, relishing moments like petting, bathing, and feeding the gentle giants. Walking alongside these majestic creatures was a unique and eye-opening encounter, deepening our appreciation for elephants.
Learning about their habits and living added depth to our experience. The best thing was the traditional Rajasthani lunch served amidst the sanctuary's serene backdrop, enriching our cultural understanding while delighting our taste buds. The warm hospitality extended to us, including the delectable sweets gifted upon arrival, left a lasting impression.
Elefantastic isn't merely a sanctuary; it's a place where hearts are touched, where laughter echoes among elephant trumpets, and where bonds with nature are forged. If you seek an authentic and enriching adventure in Rajasthan, Elefantastic is a must-visit destination.Written May 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Built for the ladies of the court back in the day to see the goings on on the city's streets, without being seen themselves.
The small window slits hid them from view while allowing them to peek out unseen. These windows also vreated a cooling draught in the hot Rajasthani summer, hence the name, Palace of the Winds.
You can go in I think. We didn't. We just gazed in awe from the road.
One of the most beautiful buildings yiu ever will see.Written May 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are information boards explaining how the stone and marble astronomical instruments were used but it is far better to have a guide who knows what he is talking about. We did but he was not a local guide. Among the instruments is, reputedly, the world's oldest sundial.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Geoff HSissinghurst, UK16,297 contributionsFamed for its beautiful, ornate mirror glass work on the walls and cieilings, the Sheesh Mahal (the Glass Palace) is one building in the Amber Fort which should not be missed. Its glorious. As this building was the place where the Raja met his honoured guests, it is also called the Diwamn-e-Khas, the Hall of Private Audience.Written May 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
