Celebrities, athletes and politicians alike walked the red carpet Saturday in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby.
Kentucky natives like rapper Jack Harlow, singer Wynonna Judd and former University of Kentucky basketball player Reed Sheppard made appearances.
Gov. Andy Beshear and Lt. Gov. Jaqueline Coleman also walked the carpet and made their Derby picks: Beshear was rooting for Sierra Leone because of the horse’s connection to Kentucky, while Coleman was cheering on Catching Freedom.
The sesquicentennial attracted big names to Churchill Downs, including actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, businesswoman Martha Stewart and comedian Jimmy Fallon.
