Marietta High School is a great place for a student to spend their high school years. Although Marietta HS is often known for it great athletic program and academics, I love most is that they want and encourage the student body to be good people first. Being a top athlete or the top of your class won't matter much or get you far if you are a horrible human.
My experience with Marietta High School so far has been great! I always feel included within classrooms and other planned events. Almost all classrooms are very social and accepting of everyone, giving students a great experience. Along with this, most teachers are fantastic and the extra circulars are amazing! Personally, one thing that is outstanding is the fine arts community at MHS. It’s nothing like I’ve seen before. Everything is very well put together and professional. The students in this community are so close and accepting of others, making the fine arts a fun experience for all. One thing that I dislike would be the organization of classes and help with college. The lack of communication with families can often be difficult, especially with the amount of students. While I understand it can be difficult for a bigger school, I think scheduling could be handled differently. Apart from that, almost everything has been a good experience and I’m proud to attend this school.
I started Marietta High School during Covid year, so I feel that I did not get the full high school experience my freshman year. However, now I am able to see how full of spirit this school is. Despite their lack of great food or dependable teachers, the environment is big on school pride.
Overall it was fine, but my school is pretty segregated when it comes to race. All of the higher level classes are saturated with white people, and being in those classes you can see the level of ignorance that a lot of these people have.
I’ve had a positive experience with Marietta High, with one graduate and an upcoming 2024 graduate. The teachers and counselors have been responsive and helpful.
This school is one in a million. So much diversity and acceptance with all students. I've had good teachers who has broken down step-by-step on completing assignments, so the students can fully understand. I've always been good at math and science so taking honors biology and honors algebra 2 has benefited me. Honors classes are really my pace; it's not too slow and not too fast. This school is big on celebrating diversity, specifically Hispanic Heritage Month. It's very festive and filled with lots of positive attitudes. Taking Dual Enrollment has been a great decision for getting my last two required credits. My DE counselor is very responsive, very helpful with making sure all required materials are turned in for funding and giving my any other information that could be helpful to me in the future. Overall, this school is filled with lots of help, lots of opportunities, and more to help every student be successful.
My experience at Marietta High School was okay to put it in the least. I grew a lot throughout my four years and I became a better person. What I would like to see change is the environment that is at the school. Even though it was a nice school, there was a lot of toxicity between the students.
My overall experience with Marietta High School has been amazing. I've been here since freshman year and can confidently say that the teachers are dedicated and supportive. My school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, and I've been able to participate in clubs and sports. The school has a strong community, and I've made lifelong friends here. I would say the connections I've made throughout the school years is the best part. Like any other high school, there would be times where fights broke out. These would be the worst times because fighting just leads to more violence, consequences, and privileges taken away. A change I would like to see at my school is stability. Within the past year, we have had three different principals and when we came back to school there would be new rules or policies. On the whole, Marietta High is a great school that has provided me with a well-rounded education and memorable high school experience.
It was amazing! Marietta is like something out of a movie. It's small town in a big city. The alum and community is involved like no other and the Friday night lights show the enthusiasm and love for this school and students.
So far MHS is not a bad school. They specialize in IB/AP classes. They also encourage taking Duel Enrolment classes with nearby colleges. We often have spirit weeks to show school pride. My favorite thing about the school is the sports. The coaches care about academics and push athletes to be students first. The only things I'd like to change are bell schedules and lunch times. Lunch should give the students a break from their studies not stress them to eat in 20 minutes. And the lunch line efficiency needs to improve. I often see students waiting to get their lunch five or so minutes before lunch ends.
It’s the best high school and they all threat you with respect but you all need to pay attention to the teachers.
Great school. I had an awesome school year and enjoyed the school activities. The staff are great and school has a lot of opportunities students can involve in.
Entering high school during COVID was difficult but I felt like the issues the school faced were handled well enough to make the transition from middle to high alright. Overall my experience at MHS has been positive. I'm involved with multiple clubs and activities in school (both academic and music-related) and I've met some of my very close friends through these groups and in my classes. The only thing I'd really like to see changed isn't really a change so much as a continuation: I'd like to see that the students continue to have their voices heard. We have a diverse demographic of students, and I know that the school has many resources to support the students and their community. I think that as long as we have the opportunity to give feedback, and that the feedback is absorbed and acknowledged, the school can continue to be a safe and helpful place for both the students and the staff as a whole.
Graduation was badly done and happened in the middle of the night.
School did not properly tell students what classes they needed to focus on before letting them apply for elective classes.
During virtual school because of the pandemic, students missed many classes to get enough credits to be able to take other classes. The school did not think about mailing students supplies needed.
Too many finals.
Catered more to teachers and staff rather than students.
Clubs are always full and there isn't enough clubs.
Hallways are too thin and always crowded with students.
Classes are too far apart.

At Marietta High school, there are many trust worthy adults I feel comfortable to talk to when ever I'm in need, they give me advise and truly feel like home away from home. As I walk to class I am greeted and acknowledged every day by all of the teachers and staff, I feel respected and included because they keep me informed about up coming events, they send out emails to follow up lock down or fire drills, they personally ask me what my goals are and help me achieve them. This school has resources for all students' necessitates in order to be successful. Before attending Marietta High School I didn't value school or my education but now I push myself to be a great student, I ask for help and I don't feel embarrassed to go to tutoring hours. I am now graduating Marietta High School with high honors, National Honor Society, an IB diploma, great knowledge about architecture, a 4.0 GPA and a D1 track & field scholarship. I don't think this would be possible without Marietta High School.
Marietta High School is inclusive and diverse with many opportunities available to students. There are also many options to explore your interests in the college/career academy, and through the arts.
Good school for high level education (IB and AP programs) and is very engaging with arts, sports, clubs, and community.
