Reset to all Default Options
« on: April 20, 2020, 02:38:20 pm »

Is there some way to have JRiver 26 revert to all the original default settings. I have tried reinstalling but it always remembers the previous settings. I would like to start from scratch.
Thanks

Just the settings, or do you want to clear the Library as well?

Just the settings, but would be okay with clearing the library as well if required

Dear Mogman, to start from scratch you can use a program called "Geek". It's a very little, but perfect uninstaller. It removes also left over files, folders and parameters in the registry. I'm using it since many years and I had never a problem with uninstalling.

No need to lose your Library. That's why I asked.

1. Make a Library Backup. Uninstalling MC won't remove the backups, but you may want to have a copy of this one in a separate location for peace of mind.
2. Uninstall MC completely, including the Registry entries. Leave the Library in place. The Windows uninstaller works fine.
3. Reboot then reinstall MC26.
4. The installer should have found your existing Library in step 3, but if it didn't, Restore the backup you made, but only with "Restore library and playlists" selected, and not "Restore settings".

That should leave you with a working MC26 installation, and only default settings.
