Temple Sinai Religious School’s mission is to instill in our students and their families a love for Judaism and the Jewish way of life, to provide them with the tools for their spiritual journey, and to make meaning of the world around them through the lens of Reform Judaism.
Temple Sinai Religious School believes in providing a program where all learners create lifelong, joyous Jewish memories, along with feeling at home in any global Jewish setting through a warm and caring environment, in order to give our students a meaningful educational, social, and spiritual experience. Our school offers classes for Pre-K through 10th grade students.
Apply for a Tuition Scholarship
We are pleased to offer our families tuition scholarships, generously made possible through the Apple Family Youth Education Scholarship Fund. A short application process is required, and is open to all Religious School families (membership must be in good standing). Applications are due by August 31, 2023.
Hebrew After Hours
We are again offering Hebrew After Hours for your children. For those families who are looking for additional time for their children to develop Hebrew skills, we are offering times outside of Religious School hours for structured and engaging study with our staff. Students are welcome to attend the weekly session that works best for their schedule.
This is a wonderful opportunity for those kiddos currently in the Pre-K grade to learn about Judaism in fun ways, as well as for families to build relationships in the Jewish community. The program will be held concurrent with Religious School – one Sunday a month from 9:00AM – 12:00PM. Each session will focus on the Jewish holiday or observance that it’s closest to on the calendar. The classroom experience will be planned around songs, stories, activities and crafts, taught by one of our former Preschool teachers, Macey Schwartz. Our clergy will also interact with the Pre-K Religious School class through teaching prayers and song circles. The best part? There is no cost to attend! DOWNLOAD THE FLYER

ShalomLearning Curriculum
We utilize the ShalomLearning curriculum, a dynamic, values based curriculum. ShalomLearning helps students see the connections between their daily life and Jewish tradition and wisdom. Blending classroom instruction and family engagement with technology support, the ShalomLearning approach focuses on seven core Jewish values:
- Teshuvah: Taking responsibility for our actions.
- B’tzelem Elohim: Honoring the image of God in ourselves and others.
- Gevurah: Using strength to do what’s right.
- Achrayut: Making the world a better place.
- Hakarat HaTov: Seeking joy and being graceful.
- Koach HaDibbur: The power of words.
- Shalom: Contributing to a more peaceful world.
Mishkan Tefilah for Youth
Our Religious School utilizes a wonderful siddur for Grades 4-7 – Mishkan Tefilah for Youth. We aspire to bring prayer into our students’ lives into a way that it’s meaningful for them. These siddurs make a beautiful Chanukah gift – Temple Sinai is offering a discounted rate of $25 for each book.
Meretz and Ruach Youth Programming
Our Meretz & Ruach Programming is back! Look out for updates on our monthly programming schedule. Programs will be held following Religious School (one Sunday a month) and will be focused on social engagement while staying rooted in Jewish values.
