Perfect place to stay in!
The host, the room, the food, the location (Vake) – all was awesome.
There are many cafes and supermarkets around, 2 parks and 20 min walk from the touristic center.
Thanks a lot to Fatima for her help and welcoming!

We stayed here for just 1 night after landing in Taiwan. Friendly staff. Clean room. Strong shower. Two beds in the room, not much space left, but sufficient for a quick stay. They have a snack bar downstairs, but we didn't utilize it as there are so many breakfast places around the neighborhood.

Small, budget hotel in safe and quiet residential location close the MRT. Room clean but sparsely furnished. Bathroom modern but in need of the plumbing being serviced. Staff pleasant and helpful but not able to speak languages other than Taiwanese and Mandarin. Housekeeping very average. There are free laundry facilities. No dining room. Breakfast, with hotel voucher, at nearby restaurant. The voucher does not cover cost of a decent breakfast - but the restaurant does provide good food and value.

Clean, spacious room with decent breakfast provided. Hotel collaborated with Dante cafe for guests breakfast. The cafe is 2-3 minutes walk from hotel.
Also, the hotel is within walking distance to the mrt station, about 4 minutes. Will stay again.

The Hits:-
- easily accessible via taipei metro (zhongxiao xinsheng station) to the shopping belts/places of interest or from the airport (evergreen bus 5201 or 5202)
- located within a quiet residential district (appears to be safe as well since there are people walking around late at night)
- hotel staff are generally friendly and the premise is clean (and looks newly renovated)
- 3 24hr convenience stores nearby for any last minutes bites or purchases
- in-house wifi signal is strong compared to other hotels

The Misses:-
- no in-house dinning facility so must get vouchers to go to a nearby cafe. Not too big an issue but voucher value would only qualify for a limited range of breakfast sets. While we can top up the difference if we select the more expensive sets (the top up amount may not be a lot), does not compare well with other similarly priced hotels which offer complimentary buffet breakfast

This is a cosy boutique hotel. I am doing a voluntary quarantine after returning from the US. The rooms are great and the off season rates are low. I spend most of my time watching TV and surfing the net.

After landing in Taipei I knew that a nights rest would be required before dealing with the buses and trains to travel to Kaohsiung. This was a well priced hotel, close to the MRT and only two stops away from the Main Station (where you can get the HSR from).

The rooms were spacious and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly. To the rear of the hotel is a quaint residents garden area, where you can sit and relax. It's more than likely that I will return to this boutique.

Rose Boutique Hotel is spacious and cozy. The interiors are also great. We were 5 people traveling so we just had to make adjustments. There were 2 queen beds and a big couch. So we asked for extra pillows and blankets Luckily, it's free of charge. There are also complimentary snacks (biscuit and chocolates) and drinks provided (water, milktea and coffee powder). The staff are very nice and attending. However, the breakfast is only $85NT/coupon so we had to make additional payment since the prices at Dante's coffee can be slightly pricey. This place is great for group and family travels. Moreover, it is near the MRT station so it is very accessible. This hotel is worth the money. Truly a hidden gem in Taipei.

Pros:
Very clean and comfortable.
Short walk to the metro.
We were upgraded for free to a quad room because they were out of doubles

We only stayed at the Rose Boutique Hotel for a very short 1 night stopover on our way down the east coast.

the hotel is located in the middle section of lane 103, Shinsheng south road. the lane itself is wide enough for a comfortable walk, However, bothe sides of the lane is parked with cars which means one has to walk practically in the middle of the lane. and it is a fairly busy lane particularly in the morning. So it would be a very annoying walk if accompanying with luggage. Also it may be difficult for cab drivers to find the hotel at night. Best way would be to tell the cab driver to find exit 6 of the Chunghsiao Shinsheng subway station and turned into lane 103.
The hotel has a very unappealing entrance. But is is ok after going into the small lobby. there is a sort of lounge behind the reception desk and a small outside garden attaching to the lounge. summer is too hot to sit in the garden though. arrived the hotel in the morning so left the luggage with the check-in staff who are professional but cool. When came back after dinner, told that the TV and the bathroom hairdryer in the assigned quad room (means two double beds) is not working and we will be upgraded from rose quad room to elite quad room next day . Dont mind the TV problem so the upgrade is not that important. Rose quad room according to the hotel website is approx 400 sq ft.. there are only two chairs in the room. no bathtub which is fine as dont use hotel bathtubs. But may be annoying to some people. room is simple and clean. Comfortable bed. The Elite quad room is slightly bigger with a different layout and is equipped with a L-shap sofa. Breakfast is at the nearby coffe shop "Dante" which is a 3 minutes walk from the hotel (ask for the breakfast voucher from the hotel receptionist) the max value that can be redeened is NT85 (approx US$2.90). Since most of the breakfast combo in "Dante" is NT85 so it is not that much a problem. Free self serive laundry is available. free bottle of waters, coffee, small snacks available in the room. It is a good stay and may consider coming back if there are 3 or 4 persons travelling.

How to go to Rose Boutique Hotel from Taoyuan Airport?
Answer from P-a-u-1-a
Madrid, Spain118 contributions42 helpful votes
There are several buses which go relatively close to the hotel. One easy option it to take 5201 bus (bus ticket counter at the airport) until stop number 8 and then walk. if you don't wanna walk, the 2 buses or bus plus subways are required. TIP: SEARCH HOW TO GET THERE USING GOOGLE MAPS. FOR TAIWAN IT WORK PERFECT ALSO FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
