Courtesy of William James Adams Jr. aka will.i.am, one of the worst albums of the year is released. Production by will.i.am, Printz Board, John Legend, George Pajon Jr. and Dylan "3D" Dresdow. Guests are MC Lyte, KRS-One, Phife, MC Supernatural, Flii, PLanet Asia, Kron Don, John Stephens, Triple Seven, Dante Santiago, Fergie, Niu, Taboo, Phil the Agony and Tash. The Black Eyed Peas singer is overshadowed by practically every single guest he brings to his album and, in the few tracks he emerges from, he appears to be a guest on his own CD. The music is dreary for 50 minutes, collapses right after six, it's up to the guests to keep their tracks afloat and sadly, some of the best are already gone by this point: KRS does its job on "Take it" and Phife makes "Nahh Mean" noteworthy. The others are basically turning the spoon around a warm, spat punch that no one will ever drink and will rot on the table. "Mash Out" is the exception to the rule, MC Lyte and Fergie take the song by strength and talent. 2.5/10.

I'm not gonna lie, I really love Will.I.Am as a producer. When it comes to rapping, he's got a dope voice and is entertaining, but not particularly skilled. But when it comes to beats, holy shit. He basically takes jazzy boom bap and pop, and adds many details. I mean, listen to every single beat on here, there are so many layers and they don't sound like anything I've ever heard. There are also some awesome guest appearances here, and KRS-One kinda steals the show in the opening track with his crazy verses. Also, I really don't mind Fergie's appearance, as I used to hate her when I was younger but she's actually not bad. Also Lyte kills that track. It's not a very long album either, only about 50 minutes. Plus the interludes are even really dope. Besides KRS, Lyte, and a few others, half of the album has really basic lyrics about partying, but the beats make up for it. Still, the other half has skilled rapping, so it's a good balance of both. I need to check out more of Will's solo stuff, and even maybe more of the BEP stuff because he's really a unique producer and a genius in my opinion. It's funny, I used to hate this type of sound but now I'm loving it.
