As a joke, several members of the gang convince Farina, who is "brave but superstitious", that he's caused the demise of a young acquaintance and must therefore lay the body (actually still very alive) to rest in the old burying ground, under the watchful eye of "the graveyard witch". The joke backfires spectacularly on the pranksters.

Easily more entertaining than the last couple of Little Rascals shorts. Honestly I think this silent short is hands down better than the modern feature film. I was chucking throughout this one, not at just one or two parts like the last silent Our Gang feature I reviewed. It could even be billed as a Halloween special as I'm sure it has been in the past. It's quite charming and enjoyable, even if parts of it were at little Farina's expense.

Chaotic Little Rascals entry which seems to keep going long after it's run out of new ideas.
I really enjoyed this silent short, perfect for the upcoming Halloween season by the way, in which a practical joke in a cemetery is played on a superstitious member of the gang. It was one of three silents included on the bonus disc of 'The Little Rascals: The Complete Collection'. The special effects at the climax are pretty impressive, considering the era, and that they were for a cheap comedic kids' short. According to Wikipedia, it was the 70th 'Our Gang' short released. Recommendable, wholeheartedly.
