Best part about my experience was the cool people since the school is in a low-income area there's a lot more diversity and different cultures to experience. The worst part is the attitude many kids have thinking they're hot stuff when they're really not. You can generally just avoid them and you'll be alright. Something I'd change is their involvement to be more active. I know there's only so much they can do, but legit punish the kids more because some of them truly need it since they just get put into ISI or suspended and that's it. If applicable, take them out of sports and clubs until they get their act together. As someone in the senior grade, the amount of kids in my own grade that think they're hot stuff and have a blazing attitude is wild and I'm already seeing them fail at life when it's only just begun. They need more damn consequences for their actions or else they'll never learn and have a rough start to adulthood be it at college or a job.
The school is very much like a community college and has many opportunities during and after school. When it comes to bad parts of the school is would probably be just the events like dance themes they are never very fun but the dancing part is always very nice. The school has great funding, amazing teachers who are very helpful and a bunch of resource's for help mentally and physically. Recently a lot of students have been getting accepted for internships with big places like Boeing as workers.
My experience with rogers highschool has been amazing. The teachers are always willing to help you with anything as long as you put in the work. We have a very diverse school with a range of ethnic backgrounds which adds to excitement of meeting new people. The best part about rogers is the sense of belonging from the staff and other students, and I can’t think of much negative experiences that I have had.
