I stayed at the property at the beginning of the NYC lockdown between March 16-18, 2020. I basically got stuck in Manhattan as my youngest needed a new passport and the passport office was only a few minutes walk away. Booked from my Marriot Bonvoy app standing in front of the hotel. Because of Covid-19 the hotel was understaffed and many services like the bar and gym closed down. I was one of 5 check ins that day. The check in was wonderful and being a SPG now bonvoy memeber was upgraded to a room with a view. The staff were very friendly and courteous. My son became a big fan of the Janitor a Hispanic gentleman whose name I can’t recall now. Apologies for that. I guess they entertained each other a lot but he was very cautious to keep the social distancing at height. There was no cleaning service but they did provide us with fresh bed sheets, towels and unlimited water. No food either. However there were vending machines and microwave at the basement and a closed gym for the lockdown. Rooms and bathroom was very small and the bathroom is very small for a Marriot brand. Smallest I came across actually. I guess that’s Manhattan hotel size of that class. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for a family stay, a business stay is what the hotel was intended for.

This hotel featured a very competitive rate for downtown Manhattan. I’m assuming it is due to the pandemic and they had very limited services. There was no daily service in rooms, you were pretty much on your own once you checkin. We had to empty trash ourselves and go down each day to the front desk to get more coffee, cups, towels, etc. The showers have shampoo/bath gel dispensers and they just handed us 2-gallon jugs to refill ourselves. Also, no microwave and mini-fridge in the room, and only one Ice machine in the basement. But the biggest complaint was, almost everyday, several times a day, a very strong odor of cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke would fill our room (supposedly fully nonsmoking hotel). We reported this several times but they said there was nothing they could do...?

Hello there, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo Village and providing your honest feedback. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. During this time we are only providing housekeeping service to our occupied rooms once a week and upon request for our guest and associate safety. However we do have staff on call to provide any additional amenities to you and I am sorry if that was not communicated properly. You should not have felt on your own in the least bit and for that I apologize. As for the smoking we are 1000% smoke free and once we do locate the room of a guest who is smoking we ask them to leave the property immediately. I'm sorry for the mis information received during your stay. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us during these unusual times. Kind regards, Patricia Caruso Manager

I wanted to explore Soho and Greenwich Village - the shopping, The Whitney Museum and the High Line - and the location of this hotel was perfect for that, a 15 minute walk from Soho and walkable to High Line. The rooms are basic but comfortable, renovated and good for New York, very comfortable beds, standard bathroom but clean. The staff make up for the lack of facilites downstairs - the restaurant is dark and therefore unwelcoming, but I had a nice French Toast breakfast there, and the lobby/bar area is very small, without any nice seating. Front desk, wait staff and bar staff all exceptionally friendly, with very personal level of service. They booked me a car to airport and were immediately helpful with any queries. Nice baked cookies in afternoons, plus complimentary bottled water in rooms were both nice touches. Decent gym facilities. All in all, very good value for money

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is superb - walkable to all of mid to lower Manhattan, easy to find, and with relatively quiet street noise at night. The room was larger than expected, and the bed/pillows was remarkably good for the price-point. Front desk was friendly and efficient, and had free water bottles on offer. The clerk was also more than helpful in storing my suitcase on my last day and retrieving it quickly on request. The associated restaurant had a nice outdoor bar with good Happy Hour specials. Bartender Jora (name I may have wrong, but she was a beautiful young Albanian woman)) poured a mean gin & tonic and was super friendly and storied. This place is a gem. My only complaints - stingy on the thin bath towels, no individual toiletries, and miniscule bar of subpar soap took away from the otherwise pleasant showering experience. I suggest that Marriott step in with better products!

This was a really really great experience for me in NYC. One of the few hotel rooms are going to wear in the evening he got used to noise for party yes location quick access everything one would need. I came to the hotel last minute because the Airbnb able to close inadequate. I had a leg Andrea and moving around listen obstacle. It was the closest Bonvoy hotel to my airbnb so I booked it. I didn’t have to go far from the hotel to access good restaurants, customer services and even the subway to my final destination one I checked out. *Great Vegan Options Nearby* There’s a receptionist named GOLDEN who really stood out. Thanks again man. During Covid restrictions I stayed at five star Marriott properties like the W HOTEL Boston and others in Midtown and LA. Stripped of perks and amenities all hotels were pretty much limited to the the experience in the rooms and guest engagement with staff. I truly didn't miss much from The W which was surprising. Rooms were stylish enough, big enough and the property values outstanding service. Although it was a random selection staying here originally, I will surely book again the next time I'm in Tribeca.

This review is a little late, but I had spent a night at this location a couple weeks ago and was warmly welcomed and taken cared of. Especially Golden, he was the only person working at the reception when I arrived a little after midnight and he kindly helped me out in getting me a room that was spacious and also had good recommendations on where to eat. He also granted me a late checkout as I had arrived so late. Overall the rooms were very comfy, the staff was generous and very kind and I would definitely come back again when Im in the city.

This location was great! Did a New York Minute shop and food trip with a girl friend and location couldn't be better for that. You're two blocks away from the main SOHO corridor and a few blocks away from West Village, Chelsea, NOHO, Nolita, Tribeca and even Little Italy/Chinatown. We never had the need to hop on the subway. The front of house staff was very friendly and helpful upon check in. The rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint, some dusting and the bathrooms could all use a deep clean but other than that, it's a good base for a short trip. Ask for a floor with the city view.

The whole place feels very cramped. The elevators are small, rooms tiny, lobby is small and often full of people. The rooms were ok although our toilet worked weird and overflowed. I asked for a new room and told one wasn’t available. A maintenance person did come and wet vacuum up the bathroom but otherwise no offer was made to clean the room. We were on the 9th floor and you could hear everything going on that floor. The front desk staff was very nice though especially Golden. He gave good info about the area and had waters for us when we got back from a late night on the town.

Ideally located between to Metro stations. Helpful staff and clean rooms. Value for money. Drinking water was available on request and ice needs to be collected from the basement. Bonvoy members enjoy privileges of extended checkout but they are very rigid on flex.

I arrived at the hotel after a long day of layovers and changed flights due to storms. Golden at the front desk was very attentive and helpful and made sure I had what I needed for the room. He also suggested food places that were open and helped me to pick out a great spot in the area! The room was nice and clean and everything worked as it should! Golden was truly the highlight as he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable after a long day! I hope everyone here is like him!
