Clairemont High School Reviews

Clairemont High School is a great school. It has great education with an interest in different "academies" that allow for students to zero in on a specific field of study. They offer college classes to students in higher grade levels and focus on the idea of "students before sports", whilst still maintaining wonderful sports teams. I enjoy Clairemont greatly and think that the school's atmosphere and friendliness are above average. The school spirit could use some work, but overall Clairemont is a nice school, in a nice area, with great studies.
When I moved to the United States, I envisioned adjusting the same way I did in Mexico as a hard-working student. Being new to a country and educational system, I faced challenges that I did not anticipate.
I worked hard to receive A’s and the moment I saw my first B and C since I was also learning a third language, I felt unmotivated and discouraged. I did not hesitate to join programs and clubs that helped and motivated me to learn the new culture. I quickly learned that grades don’t define me or my potential, they are the reflection of my growth. This is all thanks to the help I got in school, there will be always someone to help you out, but you have to cooperate and reach out to them as well.

It is a very academic-focused school with great staff, a lovely community, and good connections to local colleges. Very open arms and a zero-bullying policy. Very safe and secure school. There are academic majors that focus on business, medicine, and science.
