Ali Wong and her husband Justin Hakuta are splitting after nearly eight years of marriage. A rep for the Always Be My Maybe actress, 39, confirmed to PEOPLE on April 12 that Wong and Hakuta have decided to divorce.

"It's amicable and they will continue to co-parent lovingly," a source told PEOPLE.

The comedian and Hakuta met at a wedding back in 2010, and tied the knot in 2014. The former couple went on to welcome their first daughter, Mari Hakuta in 2015, and their second, Nikki Hakuta, in 2017.

Wong joked about her "deep envy" for single people in her Netflix stand-up special, Ali Wong: Don Wong, which was released earlier this year.

"Only other married people with kids can empathize with the deep envy I feel towards you single people, okay?" she said. "You don't know how free you are."

During the special, Wong also joked about why she hasn't cheat on her husband. "I haven't done it yet. Not because I'm a good person. Only because no worthy opportunity has presented itself," she said. "My mom doesn't understand. She can't relate to these feelings of wanting to fool around outside of your marriage because she's an immigrant woman, who was born in 1940. Her world is a lot smaller than mine."
