• Brandi Glanville returns to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Wednesday, July 15.
  • She was a Housewife on seasons three through five, but left the reality show in 2015.
  • Brandi said that it was her decision to leave RHOBH, but Bravo has a different story.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back to its regular weekly schedule. So is the drama among all the L.A. ladies, and “truth cannon” Brandi Glanville is also back to fan the flames about certain rumors. (Naturally, she’s right in the middle of an alleged affair turned feud with Denise Richards this season.)

Way back in season two, Brandi started as a “friend” on RHOBH and was promoted to a full-time cast member in season three. She left the Bravo franchise after season five in 2015. From the very start, she clashed with the other Housewives, but you might still be wondering why she left and what exactly happened?

No surprise, Brandi has plenty to say about her exit from the show. Here's everything she's shared about leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills:

Brandi says leaving the reality show was her choice.

The former RHOBH star shared all about her exit on her "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered" podcast.

“After a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to RHOBH as a full-time cast member this season,” Brandi shared and Bravo reported way back in 2015. “The past four years have been amazing, a complete rollercoaster of a ride. I will always be thankful to Bravo for the opportunities that have come along with doing this pop culture phenomenon of a show. In the meantime, I’m working hard on my podcast, my new wine business, and my clothing line. And keep an eye out for my next adventure that will show everyone a more well-rounded side of who I really am.”

Brandi’s ongoing feuds with the Housewives also played a role.

“They don’t know. They have no idea. But here’s what sucks, and this is why they’re c—s,” she told Howard Stern in 2015. “Because they’re saying I got fired, and I’m in the process of moving, trying to rent a house for my two children, and no one will rent to me because they don’t think I have a job.”

Brandi also teased a busy schedule of her own outside of Real Housewives on the radio show. She revealed to Howard that she had a “new show” and a “development deal with a big network” on her slate.

“I felt like I played ball, I gave my all to the show, and then when it aired I thought, ‘Oh my God, they did me no favors in the editing room.’ And I got really upset and a little depressed,” she explained.

“I didn’t want to do the show again. I took so much heat. I was doing things to my own detriment that I couldn’t explain like throwing wine in someone’s face,” she continued. “I’m not sure why. And then I slapped Vanderpump, I’m really not sure why. But at the end of the day, I got so much hate on social media.”

In case you forgot, Brandi also made a brief cameo on last season of RHOBH—and yes, she talked about Lisa Vanderpump:

But Bravo’s version of the story looked a bit different.

Actually it looked a lot different. In fact, it was Bravo’s decision not to have Brandi return, an inside source told E Online. The network cited the frequent feuds between Brandi and other cast members. The source noted that Brandi was upset, but she understood and was grateful for the opportunity to be on the show.
