We toured the home and studio and also the gift shop behind the studio. It is beautiful and refurbished to the time when the family lived there before moving to Wisconsin. If you like Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs, you will enjoy seeing this home and studio. The windows, design, and light in the home are delightful. Go and see it. Tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable.

How much you like this site will depend on your interests.

For Frank Lloyd Wright and architecture fans, it will be a "5." It is FLW designed with many of his signature elements. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are live tours, but the audio tour is also excellent.

For others, it may not be all that exciting. The church has only two or three primary rooms you can see in about a half hour to 45 minutes. The most impressive of these is the one that is the cover photo for this attraction, and it looks pretty much like how the photo depicts it. You are free to walk around, but you won't see much more.

In either case, walk around the exterior of the building and note the Aztec-type decorations.

If you aren't sure if you even like Frank Lloyd Wright, a better site for you might be his home and studio about a mile away, which have more features that would likely interest you and would give you a better idea of why he is viewed as one of American's greatest architects.

We were lucky to get tickets for the Wright Plus Housewalk, since they sellout quickly. We toured 9 homes in 8 hours. Some of the lines were long, others were not. The homes are lovely and Oak Park is a beautiful area. The Walk is very well organized and run efficiently. The tour guides and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend if you are interested in Frank Lloyd Wright, architecture and design. We parked in 5he street and packed our own lunch to save some money. The tickets are a bit pricey, but consider it a donation to support the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.

Beautiful building and nice interiors. The services offered inside are also wonderful. Knowledgeable librarians with study rooms and comfy chairs make this a great community resource. There are great programs for adults and children.

Attended a lovely intimate wedding at The Pleasant Home and was blown away. The venue is amazing and offers historical charm on an expansive property. The perfect backdrop to celebrate the married couple.

Would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue if you are looking for more of an intimate crowd.

This place is heaven. I went here on Sunday and I absolutely enjoyed myself. From the outside this place looks small, but you quickly step inside a leafy green oasis. Even for a weekend visit the place wasn't crowded and I only crossed one other couple in there. I didn't expect to spend a whole hour here & I'm looking forward to going back already.

They also have parrots! Skipper, Sara & George! George was super vocal & adorable.

Admission is free & street parking nearby is free. The inside is pretty warm & humid for the plants so expect to sweat a little. There's a cute back area that looks like it will be fun for kids. I definitely recommend going & enjoying yourself!

The new exhibit on the history of OPRF High School is amazing! Really enjoyed the oppportunity to view the scrapbooks of students and to see the various iterations of the buildings and campus. Also enjoyed the open housing exhibit; it highlights the struggles that Oak Park faced in becoming a multi-racial community.

Walk through her with my dog multiple times per week. It is clean and kept up nicely and the Mills Mansion is beautiful. This is a perk for walking and sitting on a bench and relaxing not a "park" for kids to play at.

The African Company presented Richard III. Well produced and very enjoyable. We arrived early and had a lovely Meal on the lawn. We had a great spot we set up with food, drink and friends. A wonderful night and enhanced by the performances.

The cicadas tried to out do the actors, however the outstanding performances negated the bugs.

We will go again because we truly enjoyed the evening. In fact we will be making a contribution to the theatre and I encourage others to do so!

Our friend Johnny Lee Davenport was wonderful to see on the stage. He and I did a play at the Goodman Theatre and he seems to have moved way beyond the stars. What a special treat to be at the theatre and enjoying the performances! Great Job Folks!

Lots of activities and very fun for kids. The activities are interactive and change throughout the levels of the building.
