Union Academy Reviews
Rating 3.67 out of 5 12 reviews
I was a middle school student at Union Academy, as were two of my younger siblings. Veteran teachers who have been employed at the school for a while are very high-quality educators, gifted in their ability to communicate and connect with students. Some of the more recent educators have not had this same appeal and tend to distract or make students uncomfortable. The STEM classes are well organized and sets the students up for success in International Baccalaureate high school if they choose to pursue it. The music department is especially well instructed. Many opportunities are presented to students participating in elective classes, and clubs are very easy to join and remain connected to in high school. Union Academy's location next to residential properties and a golf course may be of some concern, but the resource officers on campus have been, in my experience, very skilled and attentive. Overall, Union Academy is very good at leading students towards scholastic success.
This school is alright in the learning category but is TERRIBLE for conditions, the children are disrespectful and loud, but one thing that is really bad is that the teachers are terrible all they do is assign work and make the kids do it and then give them a ton of homework that isn't even related to the classwork.- Anonymous.
Some teachers are nice while others literally don’t care about you. They are really strict and punish students for stupid reasons, like forgetting to sign a progress report, or not wearing a belt. I swear, some of these teachers are just their to give you detentions.
