Naschmarkt (NASH-MARKed) is a family-owned and operated premier and authentic restaurant that has been proudly serving the Campbell area and beyond since June 2011. The restaurant is named after the largest open-air produce market in Vienna, Austria. Austria’s history and geography influence much of its cuisine. Austria was once the center of the large Austro-Hungarian Empire stretching from France to Russia and from the Baltic Sea to Turkey, imparting a varied heritage to Austria's cuisine. Located in the center of Europe, Austria’s modern-day cuisine is influenced by surrounding countries like Germany, Hungary, Italy, and even France.

Awesome all around, delicious cuisine, super, courteous & friendly service. And very nice cozy decor! Our sever Ibrahim was amazing made our lunch a very fun, nice & enjoyable experience. This a gem in Palo Alto👍👏👍🥰. Our destination for sure!!

Weekday evening dinner was quiet and outstanding. If you get a chance to have their sturgeon, don't miss it: outstanding. And, they had a hand-made sausage with 'kraut and mustard, a starter portion, that was delicious. All of this with a Gruner Weltliner, we were happy campers. Made us wonder why we don't come here more often!

Took my family here for Mother’s Day. Food was amazing and our waiter was great! My only issue was when we arrived, it was as if we were a walk-in. I had reserved a table since I knew Mother’s Day would be busy, but when I said we had a reservation, we were told someone else would be seated since they got here before we did. I saw this happen with other parties, people having to wait even though they also had a reservation. They were very nice about it and tried to get us seated as soon as possible, having to squeeze tables together. We didn’t wait very long at all since they were able to push some smaller tables together, but I did see a few parties have to wait for other people to leave even though they had reservations as well. Food-wise, my family was blown away, which is something that’s hard to do with my parents since they both have different and particular tastes.

We absolutely love Naschmarkt in Palo Alto! It is one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. The food is always great. Our favorite of course is their classic Wiener schnitzel, made with real veal and is better than some we ate in well respected Wienese restaurants. That is not surprising knowing that the main chef Sedat Balkan worked in Wiena and had some of his training there. Potato Salad with cucumbers, Chicken Paprikash, Sausage trio, Smoked Chicken Spätzle, and Sun-dried Tomato and Eggplant Soup are all to die for. The place is elegant and beautiful. But what makes it extra special is their waiter Ibrahim- his warmth, big smile, care and service are unique and so wonderful. We always feel at home at Naschmarkt- so welcome and well cared for. Make sure to save some space for the desert, they are all wonderful but our favorite by far is Salzburger Nockerl (out of this world!) and Apple Strudel. For coffee lovers: their coffee is great.

Apple Strudel was amazing, I would go back there again just for that . Main course of pork schnitzel and pretzel starter was average for this type of restaurant.

We really enjoy Naschmarkt. It’s near home and we go there regularly. Great food. Creative cocktails. Excellent service. We particularly enjoy the Weinerschnitzel.

Excellent Austrian/German food just like the original Campbell restaurant with exceptional service by everyone on the staff. Still relatively easy to get in because not everyone knows about this new location but a great dining experience!

The food and service at Naschmarkt are both very good. The parking was much easier than most of Palo Alto, with a structure behind the restaurant. The noise level was quite loud, with no sound treatments in the hard surface, narrow, rectangular rooms. The sound level would be our main hesitation in returning.

Excellent food and service. Loved the sausage trio, Austrian soda and the double cooked pork belly. The place felt a little crowded (as in the tables were closer together than I was used to), but not unpleasant. Would recommend for a slightly more than casual date night.

Impeccable Service Most definitely a fine dining type of place. They made me a fine Pisco Sour which is not found all the time. We were seated in a "cold" area and the management immediately dialed up the heat. Austrian wines a big plus as they go well with Austro/Hungarian food. Get the garlic soup which I would go back for. The goulash was superb. The beef stroganoff was underwhelming as I expected larger chucks of meat. We were too full to try deserts but they looked awesome and I am sure that the coffee service here is above par.

We had 6:30 Saturday reservations for four, and were immediately taken to our table. The restaurant was very crowded. The food was delicious. The service exemplary. So many diners that did not have much chance to thoroughly inspect the decor, but the one rest room was tastefully decorated. Briefly spoke with the chef upon leaving. He was from Vienna. I have been to Vienna, and the food here is just as wonderful.

Very tasty food! We've been to the Campbell location a few times and it was excellent. This one seems like a somewhat different menu, or maybe it's just been a while. In any case, food is great. Service was not ideal and it took an hour before we got our food, but we weren't in a rush so it was fine. If we were in a rush I would have taken off more stars. Overall dinner was a bit over 2 hours.

Our mains were Hungarian goulash with spaetzle and the daily special of beef stroganoff. The goulash was exceptional with lots of flavour and very tender meat. The spaetzle was really good. Unfortunately the stroganoff was a big miss with the main beef ingredient being very dry and tough. The sauce, mushrooms and spaetzle were really good. I suspect the meat was not simmered in the sauce but was cooked separately and thrown in at the last minute. Definitely avoid this dish. They have a decent wine list. Service levels are high but they seemed focused on getting you out the door. Pacing was super fast. When we said we would not have desert, they presented the bill even though we had wine in our glasses and the bottle. The noise level was quite high.
