PLAYER OF THE MATCH
A good comeback from Hasan Ali to win the Player of the Match after everything that happened at the World Cup. Was a pitch well suited for him. Low, skiddy bounce. Not easy to bat on which was reflected in the scores, but in the end Pakistan had Shadab and Nawaz to thank to get them over the line. That's all we have for you. Goodbye!
Babar Azam: Wicket was a little difficult. Credit to the middle order, the way they showed the skills. Fakhar, Khushdil, the way Nawaz finished. Gave away 15-20 more runs. But this is cricket, happens in T20. Credit to the bowlers the way they bowled.
Hasan Ali, Player of the Match: Pleasant moment for me to win this award. My performance wasn't upto the mark in the WC. As a professional player, ups and downs will come. I have been here in BPL. Normally it's a slow pitch, as much as you can bowl into the stumps with variations, you'll find success.
Mahmudullah: When we chose to bat, it looked a good wicket. But there was help for the bowlers as well. It's not an excuse. Should've put on a better performance with the bat, especially top of the order. Was lacking in the World Cup as well. Would've been better if we got up to 140. But with 127, if you can get a couple of early wickets... Bowlers did a great job. We were very close. In the end, credit goes to the last two batters. Nawaz and Shadab batted really well for them.
17:40 Local Time, 11:40 GMT, 17:10 IST: Incredible. The wicket of Khushdil made you think that Bangladesh were ahead going into the final three overs. But Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz came up with some superb powerhitting right from the time they arrived. A freak partnership of 36 off just 15 balls to wrap it all up in style. Pakistan were struggling at 40/4 after 10 overs chasing 128. Some poor shots, some lazy running, and some difficult conditions kept Bangladesh right in the contest, but the turnaround from Pakistan began with Khushdil Shah and Fakhar Zaman, who started to take control as their partnership went along. Bangladesh came back again, getting rid of those two in quick succession. Only to be blown away by some lusty blows towards the end. The presentations will be here shortly.

Shoriful Islam to Mohammad Nawaz, SIX, extraordinary from these two. What a display of powerhitting and that too when they're new to the crease, on a pitch that's proved to be difficult for the batters. Short of length, Nawaz gets hold of the pull and clears deep midwicket comfortably
18.4
Shoriful Islam to Mohammad Nawaz, 2 runs, full outside off, driven hard wide of deep cover. They get back for two

Shoriful Islam to Mohammad Nawaz, SIX, clubbed over long-on! This game is Pakistan's to lose from here. Short of length, Nawaz flat-bats it hard down the ground. Plenty of bat on it
18.2
Shoriful Islam to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, full and wide, managing to keep this slower ball away from Nawaz's reach. Swing and a miss

Mustafizur to Mohammad Nawaz, FOUR, it's a poor ball from Mustafizur who knows it as he looks up at the skies, pain writ large on his face. Slower short ball straying down leg, Nawaz pulls it hard and flat. One bounce into the fine leg boundary. Fine leg was inside the ring, which makes it look even worse for Mustafizur. 15 off the over, and it's back in Pakistan's control
17.5
Mustafizur to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, slower short ball outside off, Nawaz is through the pull early and is beaten
17.4
Mustafizur to Shadab Khan, 1 run, back of a length delivery on off, pace on from Mustafizur and Shadab is happy to steer it past backward point

Mustafizur to Shadab Khan, SIX, this is some hitting from Shadab. 10 off the first three balls from Mustafizur. Slower ball wide of off, back of a length, and Shadab is already waiting for it. He's set himself up by going back and across in the crease, steady base, and bam down the ground. Flat-batted hard, finds enough to clear long-off. Wow

Mustafizur to Shadab Khan, no run, slower off-cutter on a length outside off, kicks up and goes past the edge as Shadab looks to swing to leg
