What travelers are saying
- Robert LAmherst, MA1,605 contributionsIt was fun taking the funicular up. Lots of tour groups. But the mosaics are what make this site priceless. We followed the descriptions of the murals in our guidebook which really helped understand the scenes. Highly recommended.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert LAmherst, MA1,605 contributionsWalking through the old Town is a fascinating place to wander. Old architecture, endless alleys ( you need to push street side doors to get through) and museums, shops, etc. Lively and very historicWritten May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert LAmherst, MA1,605 contributionsSome of the movie props were interesting with a lot of horror- oriented monsters. This part is best for movie buffs.
The miniature exhibits were very interesting as the artistry and patience is amazing for the amount of detail.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We visited today April 10th there were tons of things in bloom. Make sure to stop in botanic garden to see what is blooming there.
Gorgeous park with a lake, zoo, botanical garden, conservatory and biking and running paths. Bathrooms are minimal so plan accordingly.Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There Are so much different and offen Unkosten french products, you can‘t See enough. There Are a lot of Restaurants inside, but for lunch is getting a table really difficult. Outside on the backwards you can see a Picture of Paul Bocuse larger than Life on the housewall.Written May 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - shekchilly09Dubai, United Arab Emirates108 contributionsTake the funicular up to this viewing point. You can get a cool view of the neighborhood using telescope which needs a 1 EURO coin . There is a cathedral but we did not enter as we were short on time. We also visited a site of a ruin which is few minutes walk from the chapel. There are toilets and also a cafe if you are feeling hungryWritten April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RyChMountain View, CA1,031 contributionsA beautiful Roman amphitheater on the hill next to Lyon. Entrance is free and best way to get here is the furnicular to the Church at the top of the hill. It's a short walk down the street. It's amazing to think that this place has existed since the Roman times. Nearby is a museum which we did not visit.Written March 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert LAmherst, MA1,605 contributionsWe walked through this entire museum and can't say that there was anything remarkable . Lots of generic Renaissance paintings, routine sculptures . Nothing compares to the large museums in the major European cities.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TwosailramSydney, Australia126 contributionsEasy access via the T1 tramway, easy to buy tickets there or online. From the outside you have spectacular architecture..We explored the temporary exhibitions first, starting with the photographic exhibition of Marc Riboud. To our tastes, this was the best of the galleries. Lunch in the rooftop cafe, very edible. Visited the permanent exhibitions after lunch.
