It's a very family-friendly town with lots of outdoor activities nearby, including the incomparable Green Lakes State Park. It's a quick 15-minute drive to downtown Syracuse, where we have access to musical acts, plays, the orchestra, sporting events such as hockey and minor league baseball, and more. Niche User: While I live in the suburbs, the city isn't far and there are tons of things to do there! Also there is a zoo close by. The neighborhood is a good size and while I don't know everyone, it seems welcoming and friendly and safe. It's not the most diverse place but it's a nice place to live. There is the classic historic downtown area of Baldwinsville with brick buildings and all the niche businesses and services. Current Resident: Chittenango is a perfect place for you and your family. The schools are great, the real estate is affordable and very nice, and there is great small community feeling that exists here. It is close enough to Syracuse to enjoy all of the things to do there, but just far enough away to escape all the big city nonsense. There is plenty to do here as well. Current Resident: I have been in Syracuse for most of my life. I live in the inner city of Syracuse. The changes I would like to see is Syracuse adding more functions for the youth that way the youth do not go out seeking trouble. Syracuse areas are in need of groceries stores in certain areas in which some individuals cannot travel for but can travel local. Current Resident: I absolutely love the neighbors I’m surrounded by. Everyone is so friendly. There are gas stations local bakery’s, local grocery stores, and a well now walking distance away. There’s transportation buses that regularly go by. I feel safe in my neighborhood and I know that I could get the help needed if something were to happen. Lyncourt has a great school district. For nightlife lyncourt is between five to ten minutes away from downtown Syracuse. I am very glad that I chose lyncourt to start my future family in and have a wonderful home.... Read 8 reviews

Current Resident: I moved to Canastota with my husband and teenage son last yr b/c Fla was just to expensive..Here my son has friends,plays football,excels in school,has a great relationship w/his teachers, everything here is better than a big city like Orl b/c ppl actually care about their neighbors,and will help one another out..You don't get that much anymore.. Niche User: The houses in this neighborhood are small, but it is a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors and an overall good environment. Crime is minimal, and I have not experienced any in the four years I have lived here.
