This school openly indoctrinates students on political statements and societal issues. Don't expect your child to leave here well educated and with an open worldview. They literally shove political paraphernalia into children's faces.
The school is average, the teachers are generally nice. I made lots of new friends that I still have in High school. I went to Marshall, so I have experience.
Friendly school atmosphere, and students are also nice. Some shortcomings we realized when kids moved to high school in a different school district. At MMS they teach mostly easy stuff and give easy grades. It feels nice while your kid is in middle school, but they don't prepare them well for high school. Even in accel maths the level of teaching and content is very low.
Some teachers, especially history teacher Ms Zangara are not fair in teaching and grading.
Easy to get good grades by giving her gift or taking out for a meal. However not by studying well or working hard. She picks her favorites. If she doesn't like you or your parents didn't take her out for a meal you are not going to get an A independent of your work and effort. She will peg you at 89% and keep teasing you. My son had a tough time with her.
