Love & Other Drugs takes place during the winter season, and it tells the story of a good-looking pharmaceutical salesman, Jamie Randall (Jake Gyllenhaal), who could have any woman he wants but becomes enthralled by a free-spirited woman who has Parkinson’s disease, Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway). Their meeting starts off rocky, but the relationship evolves, and they find themselves falling in love.

The romantic comedy is based on the 2005 book titled Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman by Jamie Reidy. Edward Zwick directed the film and also co-wrote the script with Charles Randolph and Marshall Herskovitz.

The cast includes well-known actors such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Josh Gad, Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria, Judy Greer, Katheryn Winnick, Gabriel Macht, and many more. Overall, the casting for this film was perfect. People loved watching the dynamic between Anne and Jake. The chemistry between both actors was apparent, and it made the movie even better.

When the rom-com was released in theaters in 2010, it was a box office success. It grossed a total of $103 million dollars on a $30 million dollar budget. However, the movie received mixed reviews from critics. We say you check out this film for yourself and you be the judge on whether it’s good or not.
