Island Trees High School Reviews
Rating 3.98 out of 5 222 reviews
My son is now a Junior at Island Trees High school. I am very pleased with the school. They have a great friendly staff who are always willing to help. When my son was struggling with a class freshman year, they called me and told me they put him in extra help. Mrs. Moore his guidance counselor is always available and helpful to me and my son with our needs and questions. My son now has a 3.7 GPA and is doing amazing. He is happy with school and is on both the men's golf and baseball teams. He has a lot of good friends and has well developed teacher-student relationships. He has even done some summer enrichment classes in engineering and robotics. My son has also learned the importance of community service through his school's baseball team. He has volunteered for many activities including: I-can Bike, Challenger baseball, and both summer and winter baseball camps. The school has really built my son's character and has helped him to achieve success.
Island Trees is an amazing school with a few flaws just like any other school. One great thing about Island Trees is the teachers and how truly helpful they are with the students. A down to Island Trees is our sport. Our lacrosse is pretty decent but other than that our sports here are mediocre.
The best thing about my high school is that I feel safe. It is a small school in a suburban area. The faculty and staff really care about us. The worst part of my high school is also that we are a small school. It lacks diversity and more options for sports and clubs and electives. The change I would like to see is their course catalog provide more options for electives.
