Texas A&M University Reviews
Rating 4.61 out of 5 179 reviews
My academic experience has been fulfilling and challenging and has shaped my academic journey. Being in the renowned TAMU Economics program has provided me with a knowledge of economic/econometric theories, and essential analytical tools to excel in my career. The faculty and staff are committed to the success of every student in the department with their years of research and practical experience, their guidance is invaluable in shaping academic and professional pursuits. There are research opportunities for every student to work alongside faculty members on cutting-edge research, which enhances practical understanding of economics and critical thinking. However, the program can also be challenging. The intense coursework can sometimes be overwhelming, especially during peak times like midterms and finals. In conclusion, by leveraging the strengths and challenges of the program, I have been able to maximize my learning experience and prepare for a successful career in economics.
I have enjoyed the culture of Texas A&M so far and the willingness of everyone to lend a helping hand. Additionally, I appreciate that Texas A&M is going through restructuring to fix some of the issues raised by the former President. Currently the Department of Hotel Management, Hospitality, and Tourism but will be changed in the future to re-include parks in the title.
Texas A&M is one of the top schools in the nation, in my opinion. I would not change a thing about my experience as a student there. I do want to let future students know that there are plenty of resources out there to help you transition from high school to college. Take advantage of those resources. I did not and I struggled for years before I was academically successful. Also, get involved in extracurricular activities. I did and I have met some of my life long friends and past roommates. With those organizations, you can make long lasting memories.
