Liberty Home Guard cost

Liberty Home Guard offers flexible payment options. You save money by purchasing an annual plan, but month-to-month plans are available.

Total costs vary by plan and location, so you have to request a custom quote to get the most accurate information.

We asked for a quote for a home in Houston and got the following pricing information for Liberty Home Guard’s three plans and additional coverage:

*For a home in Houston at the time of publishing. Price may vary by location.
*For a home in Houston at the time of publishing. Price may vary by location.

You’ll also need to pay a per-claim fee each time a technician comes out. The sample contract online lists this fee as $90 for the Total Home Guard plan.

If you pay annually, you’ll get two months of coverage free. You can get an additional discount if you purchase home warranties for more than one property.

I’ve been burned by other home warranty companies, so I felt it important to share my recent positive experience with Liberty Home Guard on this public forum in the hopes it helps others avoid the mistakes I’ve made by going with other providers. Liberty Home Guard is definitely on the pricier end, but cheap service is not good and good service is not cheap. I had an issue with my air conditioning unit, and I was stressed because I also had a claim on this unit with my last home warranty who gave me the runaround for two months and in the end did not cover a dime of the cost. Even worse, I had to pay them a deductible.

Fast forward to Liberty, which this was my 1st claim with. The rep who processed the claim, Stacy was super nice and helpful. The repairman they sent set the appointment for and came the next day. He recommended a full replacement which Liberty ended up covering. It took them one week to get the new system delivered and installed. Overall, I'm so happy with their service and based on this initial experience, would recommend them to anyone needing a home warranty. No hassle, no red tape.

I've been a customer of Liberty’s for over 3.5 years now. I am writing this review from a place of extensive experience–filing more than 12 claims with them. My experiences with them on each and everyone have been positive. First off, not once have they denied me financial coverage. They saved me money on each one. Second, the longest a claim ever took was 24 days and that was for a complete replacement of two HVAC systems for my house. Third, every single person I’ve dealt with associated with Liberty, from customer service to the technicians they send have been professional, competent, and charming. As someone that has had pretty much every other national home warranty provider, I am telling you to do yourself a favor and get a Liberty Home Guard home warranty.

Liberty Home Guard proved their excellence a second time when my washing machine started leaking when I’d use it. Their home warranty has been a lifesaver for our family 3 years running. Over multiple claims and years, we’ve worked with Abigail on the Liberty Home Guard team, and she was an amazing help. Every time they use skilled technicians, who are very respectful, and clean. The repair in this instance for my washing machine was complicated, he took pretty much the entire thing apart, but in the end he fixed it! Thanks to Liberty Home Guard, my washing machine is back to working perfectly, and the entire cost was paid for by them. Thank you!

They responded promptly to my service claim for our oven. Repairs were not temporary as the fix has lasted us 6 months now without issue. I intentionally waited because my past home warranty company, when they would even provide service, would always always do a band-aid, temporary fix. The entire Liberty team were great when they communicated with us, explaining the problem, service process, and coverage terms.

Our oven is high end so the repair job was expensive at around $900. Liberty covered $600 of it and we covered the remaining $300 which we thought was generous and smart since the unit was still under manufacturer’s warranty and the $300 was for the parts which the manufacturer did end up paying for. There was even a noticeable difference in quality between Liberty’s agents and the manufacturer, with Liberty’s agents being superior. They were all strong communicators and knew a ton about our home appliances and how they work. Oven works perfectly now. Very pleased with Liberty’s services.

I've been a paying customer of LHG’s for 3.5 years, and they were amazing when I started and have only gotten more amazing. Most impressive to me was when my furnace needed repair and a really nice agent, I believe Cynthia from their team helped me. She really was fantastic in getting everything handled and resolved. She arranged for a technician to come and diagnose the unit the next day, and followed up and helped me get the second visit from the technician expedited. He totally fixed the furnace during that second visit, Cynthia and a nice rep named Jake I believe ensured that Liberty covered the costs for repair and now my furnace is working perfectly and fixing it did not cost me a dime more than my $125 deductible.

Very pleased with the process of being a Liberty Home Guard customer. Our salesperson, Dave ** was knowledgeable and thorough in explaining coverage options and all associated costs. We also like the idea that customer support representatives are all located in the United States to provide an improved customer experience.

Very helpful and straightforward. Agent was very helpful and not pushy, and offered deeper discounts after doing some further research on what would be best for my situation. I received a phone call shortly after visiting the website.

George was my representative. He was very patient and understanding of my needs. He listened to my concerns and provided me feedback that assisted me with selecting a home warranty for myself and my boyfriend. He explained each policy in detail and was attentive to all of my questions. He even made suggestions that I did not consider. I would definitely recommend this company to other homeowners, and realtors.

I have a 3 year plan with Liberty and so far I've used them 3 times and every claim has been handled very smoothly. I use the app on my phone to submit a claim and and the tech literally comes out within 24 hours. I had a problem where the tech needed additional parts for my AC claim but he was able to run to the store so I waited 3 hours that day but I think it is worth it because at the end of the day the problem was resolved. Hope my experience remains this good because I have 2 more years with them.

    Customer Service

We’ve had a horrible experience with Liberty Home Guard. Our air conditioner is not in working order and they are dragging their feet and doing their best to not pay to get it replaced. Customer service is like a broken record. Everyone says the same thing, “We are reviewing. We apologize for the inconvenience”. Stay away from this company.
