I would like to see more opportunities open to homeschoolers. Sometimes, as a homeschooler, there are many hoops to jump through in order to be able to participate in extracurriculars and sports. Not only does the homeschooler have to undergo many health tests, but there are also many forms and other requirements just to try out for sports.
High school, for me was a very transformative and crucial time in my life. It helped that I had some amazing teachers and friends to help me along the way. I met all of them through school and clubs that they offer. As soon as I stepped into Rolling Meadows, it was advocated that you should join activities and try to get more involved. In doing that, I discovered more about myself and some things I might be interested in for the future. I'm so glad that I did, or else I would have missed out on all these great experiences.
Great events, social events especially have been good. The teachers are great. The administration isn't too good. Too strict nad have made some horrible new rules.
I have had an overall good experience with Rolling Meadows High School. I have met and connected with people of all different backgrounds and they have done a fantastic job towards facilitating ways to connect with people. They have a plethora of activities and supportive teachers. Some of their staff can be rude but overall it has been well.
Really great place but has a few problems with gangs and drugs in the bathrooms. But other than that it's great. Great teachers, great classes, great opportunities, just don't use the bathrooms.
Overall Rolling Meadows High School is a great public high school. From a close knit community to a wide array of diversity, Rolling Meadows offers everything you would want in a public education. Great teachers, great post secondary resources, lively environment and school spirit, and access to higher level classes. The school has newly updated facilities and recently changed the logo giving it a more modern feel. If you’re looking for a school with diversity and opportunity, there is no better place. My experience there was definitely a 10/10 and those who have bad things to say are likely to have had a bad personal experience that does not relate to rolling meadows as a whole.
Rolling Meadows High School has a very good career pathway program. Lots of resources and classes to help you find what you want to do in the future. The school could definitely improve on it's administration, but we did just this year get a new principal and a refresh of our administrators so it may improve in the future.
Rolling Meadows is actually pretty fun for a high school in the middle of the suburbs. I participated in their theatre program, and the community is very tight-knit and very anti-clique. My teachers are always accommodating and great at teaching their subjects. There are a vast amount of communities for students to join, so if you are a rising freshmen, I recommend you get involved as soon as possible. I even started a film club with three sponsors and its going great.
Great school in a great district. The facilities are nice. Compared to the middle school I went to, the start time is very reasonable.
The staff and teachers are kind and want she best for you and will do their best to help support you to achieve your goals! Extra curricular’s kind of depend, is it well funded? Are there a lot of students or very little? How is the club community? Etc. I do theater and I love it a lot! I love the people, our show’s honestly just get better and better, I love the community we have build together. Outside of staff, extra curricular’s though, the students, they can be a hard 50/50. Depends on what crowd you start talking and hanging out with. Just make sure to lookout for yourself and whats best for you!
I just graduated this year and rolling meadows really prepares you for life. I don’t feel as scared anymore going into challenging expediences. I met my closest friends at the moment here and in middle school and have overall had a blast
honestly it’s a decent school. some teachers really seem like they don’t know what they’re doing but others and great. the passing periods feel very short especially when you have to walk across the whole school for your next class and have no time to use the restroom- going with that a lot of teachers don’t let kids go to the bathroom or only have one pass per class which kids take and leave for half the class. the security is kinda bad just cause they focus more on kicking people out the bathroom and yelling at kids for tryna get food from the vending machines rather than the plenty of fights people get into. they also kick kids who aren’t doing anything out the bathrooms but literally don’t do anything when kids are smoking in the biggest bathroom in the school. also they could definitely use more electives and promote their lesser taken electives. counselors could also try harder to reach out and communicate with they’re students.
Truly an amazing school! Staff is nice and supportive, such a diverse community, tons of extracurriculars for everyone! The classes vary in rigor levels and there is always a perfect fit for everyone.
The school offers a wide variety of classes, many of which aren’t seen in many other schools, even in the district. The teachers care about the students in both an educational sense and a personal level. The school has a diverse and welcoming environment especially in the arts. There is a place for every student there and I have been able to create a family in my activities. One thing that the school needs improvement on is communication to both staff and students. A lot of the time, information isn’t communicated in a timely manor but I have seen improvements in recent years. One thing I would love to see changed is our funding. Given our area, we don’t have as much money and other schools in our district so our arts are very underfunded. I would love to see more money put into our school so we can’t better support the arts and the school in general.
The clubs, classes, students, and teachers generally are kind and interesting and promote a good learning environment. The main improvement to the school would be having greater diversity in honors vs. non-honors tracks and within different clubs.
I had such an amazing experience at Rolling Meadows High School, i was involved in soccer and i just enjoyed playing and going to practice. Rolling meadows is a safe space to go to school never experience or saw any type of bullying going around all the teacher had a great impact in my life. I will forever be thankful for the four years i had in Rolling Meadows High School,
I’ve attended other high schools, and this one was the best of them. I wouldn’t call it a fantastic school or anything, but it’s totally reasonable. Not too much of a workload typically.
