Liam Hemsworth started his acting career in 2007 on the Australian soap opera Neighbours, (a show that his older brother Luke had previously starred in), and he moved to Los Angeles at the tender age of 19 to pursue a career in Hollywood. Fast forward to today and Hemsworth is a super talented actor, he's super buff, and he's also one-third of the famous Hemsworth brothers trio.

Hemsworth's Hollywood career started in a very big way—he was one of the original contenders for the lead role in Thor, a role that his brother Chris is now famous for. And although Liam didn't get that Marvel role, he soon snagged a part in The Last Song, the 2010 romance movie based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. In fact, the younger Hemsworth reportedly didn't even have an agent when he cast.

In 2012, Hemsworth starred in the first Hunger Games movie as Gale Hawthorne, the close friend and love interest of Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen. The first Hunger Games movie went on to make over $600,000,000 worldwide, and Hemsworth went on to reprise his role as Gale in the rest of The Hunger Games franchise: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. The entire film series made almost $3 billion worldwide.

And while he was paid $500,000 for the first Hunger Games film, a contract renegotiation led to a bigger salary for the rest of the franchise, although the exact numbers are unknown to this day.

Hemsworth has also appeared in movies including Independence Day: Resurgence, The Duel, and Isn't It Romantic. Most recently, the actor has gone back to his TV roots with the Quibi show Most Dangerous Game, and he plays a terminally ill man trying to provide for his pregnant wife before he dies.
