UPDATED: DEC 24, 2023 Opaque black color with a small tanned head. Aroma has chocolate, dark malt and some grassy hops. Taste is malty sweet with a long a bit sweet and somewhat bitter aftertaste. Flavors of dark malt, chocolate, vanilla and some ash.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2022 From a 500 ml bottle with a BB date of 08/03/23. The pour is reddish-mahogany brown under a lacing leaving tan head. Looks nice. Aroma of caramel and toffee malts, dark bread, and earthy tones. Light to medium body. The taste is sweet, with caramel malts, licorice, and earth. Mildly bitter ending. A good English pub beer. Just right.

Pours a very very dark chestnut brown colour with a medium sized thick creamy beige head. Aromas of caramel, nuts, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste has dark fruits, caramel, chocolate, nuts, brown bread, roasted malts and some ashy notes on the finish. Full body, low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Nice old fashioned winter beer.
