As always the service and the food was excellent, if I had to moan about anything I would say that the potion sizes were to big and that I always come out of the angel feeling full.

Such a lovely pub - great food, friendly staff and a lovely setting to be in. Portion sizes are super generous so make sure you are hungry!

Fabulous service, staff were lovely, but the food was nothing special and rather overpriced. The chicken in tarragon sauce was bland and dry and the ploughman’s very basic.

Visited for sunday afternoon, and chose this as it had main menu items as well as the roasts. Food was serviced quickly and hot, and was very tasty, portk was moist and loved their choice of veg, different to the usual. as we were there quite late some of the desserts had 'run out' but I had a very large sticky toffee pudding which was fabulous.. Overall, had a lovely time, and would happily go there again Just to add they have a front and back garden for sitting outside, so would be lovely in the warmer weather

The food was ok but it was warm and needed seasoning whilst cooking and the gravy was like water. I am a chef I realise Mothers Day is a busy day but the food should have been better.

Not the greatest evening out. We experiened extremely slow service, with us having to wait nearly an hour for our food. When we did finally lose patience and enquired as to where it was, it magically appeared within seconds suggesting that it had just been forgotten about under the heat lamp. There appeared to be enough staff, but it was all very disorganised and a bit chaotic. When it did finally arrive, the food was ok but certainly not worth the money we paid. As such, we couldn’t possibly recommend eating here and won’t be returning anytime soon.

Hi Steve, thank you for your review. I have watched back on the camera and you waited 20 minutes for your starters and then yes there was a 45 minute wait for your mains but with over 15 tables sat at the time we were getting the food out as fast as possible. It would be nice to have a hotplate large enough or even a chef that would even allow us to leave food just sitting around but believe me that would never be allowed to happen. The waitress you enquired with was already being buzzed by the chef and was on her way to the kitchen to collect what turned out to be your food, so good timing rather than us forgetting. You all appeared to be in good spirits at the table, laughing and joking and not lookig like you were losing your patience with the wait.

Absolutely lovely venue. The lighting was lovely and made the date so much more enjoyable. Service was very quick. Portions were more than generous and anything left over we were able to take home. All the staff were so lovely and really helpful. Will definitely be coming back again
