Shanghai-based Spring Airlines (9C) is a publically-listed no-frills airline and the largest budget carrier in North Asia. Founded in 2004, Spring Airlines operates from its major hubs at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) flying to over 80 destinations. This includes over 60 cities in Mainland China as well as international and regional flights to Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and Cambodia. Other large bases include Shenzhen (SZX), Shijiazhuang (SJW), Osaka (KIX) and Bangkok (BKK). All of the airline's aircraft are configured with single-cabin Economy Class seating. Extra legroom seating as well as additional baggage and onboard meals are available for purchase online.

Another flap your own airlines. Check in was a joke. Free for all. Push and shove,no orderly line, noonstafc at the front to supervise passenger son line or with questions, rude people pushing and shoving even when you stand at the counter to check in. Late departure, Air Conditioning lacking, almost non existent. Another typical save money move. Take of safety as normal. Midway through flight , 20mins of loud yelling to sell the airlines goods on their catalogue over the planes loud speaker. While displaying a fake Spring Airlines Lego ground truck set. Talk about a captive audience.(refer pic) No food served, I believe unless you pre order. Front curtain kept closed to prevent passengers seeing the crew enjoying themselves with Juices and three seperate meals, refer to photo. Typical male staff standing around doing nothing but stuffing his mouth with food never once going into the cabin to do any real customer service work or answer questions, like he was the Chairman himself. While the young ladies were sent off to do different tasks, but hey, let’s all hide behind the curtain, maybe the passengers won’t notice us.Let me push the attendants button and see what I get?? Ok menu available, purchased two orange juices( refer to pic) ever try warm orange juice?Dont try. Nothings ever cold. Female staff friendly enough, male staff just lazy. Terrible policy for luggages ! Very unhappy ! Travelling from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Chengdu Tianfu Airport (which is not on the list surprisingly) flight 9C6457 As usual, I brought my cabin suitcase which is standard size and travelled with me countless times without any issue. Was surprised when the staff told me it's too big and had to be checked in. After measuring, it was too big for their policy by ... 8cm but was only 5Kg against the 7Kg allowed. Of course had to pay for checking in and i'll have to wait to get back my luggage at arrival, it very likely be damaged as it's very light cabin suitcase. Now all my electronic stuff have to travel in my hand which is making unnecessary hassle as it's not allowed in check-in luggage. FEELING COMPLETELY SCAMMED, ANNOYED AND IN USELESS HASSLE !…

Disappointing Experience with Spring Airline I recently had a very unpleasant experience with Spring Airline, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. As a frequent traveler who has used many airlines over the past two years without any issues, I was shocked by the treatment I received during my last trip. The trouble began when I was informed that my travel bag, which I had used countless times before, was supposedly too large. This came as a surprise to me, especially when I noticed other passengers with similar-sized bags being allowed to board without any trouble. It was disheartening to see such inconsistency in enforcing their policies. In an attempt to comply, I managed to squeeze my bag into my suitcase, which I hope illustrates just how small it was. However, this meant that I had to carry my laptop and other valuable items separately throughout the airport, which was an unnecessary inconvenience. Upon revisiting the airline's baggage policy, I found that my bag actually aligned with the stated regulations, perhaps only slightly larger if you consider the wheels. This raised further frustration and confusion as to why I was singled out while others seemingly escaped the same scrutiny. I am left wondering whether I encountered an employee who was having a bad day or if the selection process for enforcing their policies is entirely random. Regardless, this experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I have made the decision not to fly with Spring Airline again in the future. I also cannot help but mention the state of the planes themselves, which appeared old and worn-out. This further added to my concerns about the airline's longevity and overall commitment to providing a satisfactory travel experience. I don’t think this airline will service much longer with these current policies, so hopefully this will stop others experiencing the same hassle. Disappointing Spring Airlines. I expect better in 2024……

I’ve flown with spring airlines on other 3 separate occasions and have never come across this, on this particular flight I was made to pay for my small baggage that I’ve brought in every other time that was fine, to check it in. Additionally their website might as well be a blank page because you cant do anything on it everything is so unclear and hard to find which they definitely done on purpose. I definitely will not be choosing this airline after this and I will choose an airline that actually includes a small checked in bag.…

They did’t allow us to take a very small suitcase with us and we were forced to pay. 我们每人带了很小的手提箱，他们不让带，只能带个小包，最后只能把二个箱子托运了！付了昂贵的钱。
