INSOMNIA RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED!

Hello gamers! I'm proud to announce that INSOMNIA's full game will be released in June 2024!

Has been a long journey for me as a solo-dev, I've encountered many problems and obstacles along my development but I'm super happy that I'll be finally able to release my first video game ever made.

Your feedback has been very helpful and I'm working on making the game more fluid in terms of notes, tutorials, and other things.

The game for now, will be english only. But I'm planning to add more languages for the game after release. This includes Italian, Spanish, Ukranian, Russian and others.

I will (of course) also implement a custom mode where you can make your customized level and suffer your own nightmare! (after beating the main game of course).

Does anyone have key binding issues with the following keys. It register but in-game it's still using default keys. lean left & right, candle & sprint key.

Overall improvement

Hello horror players!

We gathered your feedback and improved some features in the game.

- The basement is now smaller and will have one less fusebox.
- There will be a demonic relic at the start of Hour 0 to make you understand what is the item that you have to be looking for.
- Camera block at the beginning of a level is back to make sure you are watching at the right place when you start.
- Hour 1-2 level design has been improved.
- Minor updates.

We'll be participating in the Steam Scream: The Revenge (Halloween). Make sure to support us! :D

NEW DEMO PATCH | Prologue changes, Rebalance, Revamp Font

Hello players!
Thank you for playing INSOMNIA!
I received many feedback and I decided to fix the problems that people hated the most.

-Prologue changes: I changed the notes making them shorter, converted one of the notes into thought and got rid of that font that you hated forever! (After all, no one wants to stay reading while playing a demo isn't it?)

-Also, we increased the Music Box spawn timer in Hour 2! Now the doll will be less oppressive and the music box won't trigger together with the basement blackout!

Pretty good, some flaws.

Firstly I wanted to say that I did eventually begin to enjoy the game more when I knew more of what was going on. I read nothing into it, saw the demo and downloaded it. I understand that you have the papers with 'riddles' to elude to certain aspects and I think that's mostly a good idea, I just feel personally there needs to be a little extra at least at the very beginning to understand what is happening. Quick playthrough write up and some closing thoughts (Spoilered as it I guess spoils some of the me...

Demo is rough.

The demo is very rough in my opinion. First of all, the game starts Steam-VR, which is always for me the first indication of amateur quality. I also could not find a way to disable the cinematic black bars, some of the controls such as sprinting do not work when remapped, graphics are faded and washed out, movement seems clunky, there is no background music, and text that you can read takes up the entire screen. I also could not locate a light source and downstairs is entirely in the pitch dark with no ind...

Confusing

I'm on the first demon or whatever it is, and the 2 notes don't really make any sense. I try hiding and I still "die" from nothing/voices around me. I've been all over the house after seeing his face/hearing the voices but no clear way to defeat him from the clues on the bed imo. Any help?...

Hello horror players! I hope you are well. Thank you so much for playing INSOMNIA . You can't imagine how happy I am to see that people are enjoying the game. I've worked so much to accomplish this. On the other side, I noticed that many people got stuck in the game or didn't quite understand what they had to do to progress in the Demo. This is because I wanted to make the game without any kind of HUD for total immersion and try to communicate what you have to do without any screen popping up ...
