Windows Update is showing an update for Apple, Inc. - USBDevice - 538.0.0.0. I don't have any Apple devices

Windows Update is showing an update for Apple, Inc. - USBDevice - 538.0.0.0. I don't have any Apple devices other than a very old Ipod Touch. However, I never connected it to my computer. When trying to install the update it throws Install Error - 0x800f020b.

How do I get Windows 11 to stop prompting me to install this update?

It appears, the error means the device is not connected. You might check the Device Manager and set it to show hidden devices. If a device is greyed out it is not currently connected.

You also do not have an iPhone, just the ipod touch? Is windows actually prompting you or does it just show in the Windows Update-advanced options-Optional updates?

There are no hidden devices in Device Manager.

Yes, I only have an Ipod Touch however, as I stated it's never been connected to this computer. I've attached a screenshot of the issue.

As far as I know, Apple is responsible for driver updates. It should not be offered unless some device had been used on your system.

Since I do have some Apple devices and have not been offered such a driver, something out of ordinary situation is involved.

Are you in such a close proximity to other systems the drivers may be offered for those external systems?

I currently have a driver for a monitor, for which I have a newer driver, so I just have to ignore it.

I have the driver installed on my system but I don't remember allowing it. When I click on it, it takes me to the page below. It might just be something used for the system what drivers are appropriate for any apple devices which might be plugged in.

I have plugged an iPhone into my system but the driver version is not the one being used by the Apple Mobile Devices shown below. You can see the Apple devices are greyed out, so you have to enable the Show hidden devices in the Device Manager so you can see those.

I'm getting the same thing. Except I plugged in my phone to import some photos. Found this update the next day. Usually, updates allow for you to not go through with them. This one only gives me the choice to update. I just wanna know what it is before going through with it.
