1. Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco (1996)

G | 88 min | Adventure, Comedy, Family

When adventurous pets Chance, Shadow, and Sassy are accidentally separated from their vacationing humans, they're left to fend for themselves on the mean streets of San Francisco, searching for the "golden bridge" that will take them home.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Michael J. Fox, Sally Field, Ralph Waite, Al Michaels

Votes: 15,828 | Gross: $49.14M

The first movie was good-hearted and I liked it, but since then Babe has raised the bar, with animals that not only talk more realistically, but say things that are wittier and more pungent.

2. Final Destination 2 (2003)

R | 90 min | Horror, Thriller

38 Metascore

Kimberly has a premonition of an accident killing multiple people including her and her friends. She blocks the cars behind her on the ramp and as a police trooper arrives, the accident happens. Death is stalking this group of survivors.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: A.J. Cook, Ali Larter, Tony Todd, Michael Landes

Votes: 175,897 | Gross: $46.96M

This sequel is little more than an excuse to stage elaborate, gory scenes of characters getting killed off.

3. Cellular (2004)

PG-13 | 94 min | Action, Crime, Thriller

60 Metascore

A young man receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an older woman. The catch? The woman claims to have been kidnapped, and the kidnappers have targeted her husband and child next.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Kim Basinger, Chris Evans, Jason Statham, William H. Macy

Votes: 103,810 | Gross: $32.00M

Though it's gimmicky and occasionally feels like a high-end cell phone ad, Cellular is also an energetic and twisty thriller.

4. Snakes on a Plane (2006)

R | 105 min | Action, Adventure, Crime

58 Metascore

An FBI agent takes on a plane full of deadly venomous snakes, deliberately released to kill a witness being flown from Honolulu to Los Angeles to testify against a mob boss.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Samuel L. Jackson, Julianna Margulies, Nathan Phillips, Rachel Blanchard

Votes: 142,854 | Gross: $34.02M

Snakes on a Plane lives up to its title, featuring snakes on a plane. It isn't perfect, but then again, it doesn't need to be.

5. Asylum (IV) (2008)

R | 93 min | Horror

Six college students discover their dorm was once an insane asylum that conducted gruesome lobotomies on its teenage inmates during the 1930's.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Sarah Roemer, Jake Muxworthy, Mark Rolston, Travis Van Winkle

Votes: 3,875

6. The Final Destination (2009)

R | 82 min | Horror, Thriller

30 Metascore

A horrifying premonition saves a young man and his friends from death during a racetrack accident but terrible fates await them nonetheless.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Nick Zano, Krista Allen, Andrew Fiscella, Bobby Campo

Votes: 111,489 | Gross: $66.48M

With little of the ingenuity of previous installments, The Final Destination is predictable, disposable horror fare.

7. Shark Night (2011)

PG-13 | 90 min | Action, Adventure, Horror

22 Metascore

A weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to shark attacks.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan, Chris Carmack, Katharine McPhee

Votes: 26,867 | Gross: $18.87M

A joyless excursion into the water that doesn't even produce good gore or nudity thanks to the neutered PG-13 rating.
