I have 3 children and we have been here since Kindergarten. The school has been super supportive of my children, offering opportunities to explore and grow in many different areas. The community is warm and welcoming, the teachers and support staff really take care of the students and the facilities are exceptional. My kids have thrived here.
From the perspective of being a parent of students at the school for many years I have witnessed an unfortunate decline in the overall experience. Pressure and anxiety have gone up overall and the end results seem to be going down, and the overall experience seems to be becoming more and more transactional. Very little school spirit and personal investment by the students and the expectation that attending Episcopal will automatically land you in the top tier college of your choice (except that isn't actually happening; the number of EA students attending "top" colleges each year has been on a steady decline).
We love EA! The teachers are the best anywhere around, our daughter is excelling in all ways and I’m constantly impressed by the entire school!
My child is so happy at EA. The school is full of adults who love teaching children and who bring joy and enthusiasm to the classroom. In addition to a strong academic program, the Lower School offers music, art, PE, drama and Spanish to all students, including their youngest learners, along with weekly access to a beautiful library. The character education my child receives as part of the Chapel program that emphasizes service to others is helping to show her how to be a kind, generous citizen. We have been so pleased with our experience.
Episcopal Academy has truly transformed my three children. The focus on "mind, body, and spirit" is evident in each day at EA. The teachers truly care about each child as if they were his/her own. The academics are superior and the facilities are fabulous. EA allows each student to grow as an individual but also value community.
Episcopal has been wonderful for my children. They have countless opportunities to grow academically, musically, athletically, and relationally, all while surrounded by caring teachers who support them.
Great buy in from all the teachers who really care about the kids. The vast majority have been here for a number of years and really know their children.
Teachers are very committed to students. Students have lots of opportunities! Community events are amazing!
Episcopal is truly a college preparatory school in many ways--and the teachers work hard to support the kids as much as they can along the way.
As a parent of four children enrolled at Episcopal Academy, I am thrilled to share our remarkable experience. EA has exceeded our expectations in every way, providing a nurturing, challenging, and well-rounded environment. The teachers at EA are exceptional, highly knowledgeable, and deeply invested in their students. They are always available to support both academic and personal growth, fostering a love for learning.EA's curriculum balances challenge and attainability, ensuring tasks are realistic yet stretch our children’s capabilities. The state-of-the-art facilities rival those of many small colleges, offering an inspiring environment for learning and extracurricular activities. Our children are active in sports, benefiting from exceptional resources and support, which helped our eldest daughter commit to her top-choice college before her junior year. EA has cultivated a vibrant, supportive community, making it an extraordinary place for our family's education journey.
Amazing experience for my children at Episcopal Academy. All of the things we had hoped for in a high school and more. Exceptional facilities, administration, staff, teachers and coaches. Highly recommend EA to all families looking for an exceptional high school experience!
Warm and welcoming community. The faculty care deeply about their craft and the development of the students. The school is supportive and thoughtful about curricular advancements. The athletic requirement keeps kids balanced and active.
This is by far one of the best schools that I have worked at. The students are top-notch and the faculty are experts in their subject disciplines while simultaneously caring deeply about students.
The Episcopal Academy is a wonderful, educational community—filled with the authentic vitality and commitment to excellence of fully engaged students, faculty, staff, administration, parents, and alumni—a community that balances and values tradition, innovation, and continuous improvement.
EA is an incredibly well-resourced and committed school for faculty, students, and families. They go above and beyond to create an academically rigorous, inclusive, and dynamic educational environment across the PK-12 experience.
Great people. Wonderful academics. Tons of resources and opportunities for students and faculty. Sports and arts and music are high quality
Our daughter started in Kindergarten and I have to say it's been a GREAT decision to send her to EA. It's a wonderful environment to nurture a child to his or her full potential. The teachers have been great... challenging her academically and also really quick to identify and support my daughter through any areas that she's needed more help or attention. The EA community (parents , families and staff) is awesome. Grateful we get to be part!
Episcopal Academy is one of those schools you have to visit to get a full picture. The campus is beautiful and welcoming with sunlight that radiates through most of it structural spaces. Walking through the courtyard you get a glimpse of what student life looks like as kids make their way to class on their independent journeys. I see creative photography and artwork of students on display in the halls and in the gallery. The course options are abundant with academic rigor and exposure to the ever changing norms in science and technology. I can say with certainty that EA yields scholars and worldly students. I'm a parent who values experience, self awareness and diversity of thought and resume. To me the best parts are the community, curriculum, and sports activities. I'd like to see more diversity.
EA has amazing resources. They provide many opportunities to get involved, focus on giving back and community service, and have a wonderful chapel program. My kids have thrived with the small class sizes, access to teachers, and rigorous academics.
I've been going to Episcopal since I was in 7th Grade (2019) and it definitely took a lot of opening up to. Once I started Upper School, I began to accept the community, started going to all the outings, and realized that there is a good culture. Its a well-diverse institution with clubs for all minorities.
