The best paella we've ever had but the restaurant is very noisy. Had to eat inside because of a 2 hour wait outside on a beautiful evening in June. The paella was incredible. We split an order which could have fed 3 hungry adults. Ithe entree for it was loaded with shrimp, mussels, scallops and lobster served over perfect saffron rice. The entree was only $49 and the draft beers were $6. Parking is free. Again it's worth the hassle of driving through PA to reach the waterfront . Just tune out the noise.

Fantastic location! It's all downhill from there. Bartender missed the mark preparing drinks, before easily getting a table on a weekday evening. The waiter was borderline rude and inattentive. The food was ok. The stuffed tilapia had no stuffing. According to the waiter it was supposed to be stuffed with crab. But, overcooked filets arrived with no stuffing to be found, flanked by generic steamed vegetables and some decent mashed potatoes. Sangria was the only highlight. Oh, and no split checks.

Do not go when it's raining outside. Restaurant became flooded, workers were mopping the floors, terrible sewerage smell throughout dinner, flies were everywhere, food was terrible and management didn't offer any discount/ refund etc during this horrible experience. Any fast food establishment would have been a better choice than The Armory.

Lovely restaurant and friendly staff. It offers Portuguese style food. It also has a wide variety of food such as steaks, chicken, seafood. We were a party of 6 which they don't take reservation. We were there on a Sunday which wasn't a problem since the restaurant is big. I asked if they would take reservation for more than 10 people and the receptionist said yes. The fried calamar was very good, lightly fried, the garlic shrimp is not hard like some other restaurant, bake clams were very tasty. The marasca was delicious. A giant piece of Chilean seabass they give you. A nice size Bronzino fish grilled whole to perfection. A good cup of cappuccino to end the meal. One note is that I didn't like the sangria; it was on the very sweet size.

I spoke with Anibel the Manager over the phone on Sunday, April 2 and he told me to call him back on Thursday to give him a credit card number to secure the reservation with my sister for Sunday, April 9.. I called the Resty back on Thursday, April 6 , from 3 in the afternoon till 9 o’clock at night, and he decided not to return my calls even though his hostess by the name of, Janita told me that he was there that night., Very unprofessional, for a Manager and my sister who has breast cancer was completely heartbroken about the whole thing. A very disappointing and horrible experience for a cost of $85 per person.

We returned to Seabra's Armory for dinner, to celerbrate my son's 27th birthday, There were 5 in our party. My family members enjoyed their meals, which consisted mainly of meats. I was not eating meat, and ordred all seafood related itmes. I was HIGHLY disappointed! I ordered the crab cakes as a starter. I've never had a crab cake that I didn't like, until this encounter! There was no taste to the crab cake. The menu warns you that the crab cakes are made with real crab meat and may taste fishy. That was the reason that I ordered it. I like fishy tasting crab cakes, doesn't everyone?! They were not fishy tasting, they were just bad! I ordred the seafood for two as an entree.. Again, NO TASTE, NO FLAVOR, NO SEASONING, It tasted like it was just boiled in water and served on a bed of wilted lettace. I LOVE seafood... I've ordered it from many restaurants for many years. I won't order seafood from Seabra's Armory again, unless it comes in Paella, or maybe a well seasoned steak or something.. This was an expensive mistake!

Decided to take a chance on a new place & glad we did! (We've lived for decades, only one county away, & never got around to trying this place until now!)!!! We were only going to get the "Paella for Two", but the soft-shell crab entree looked so good, we ended up ordering that as the appetizer & were not disappointed by either. The paella was chock-full of seafood (clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, & 1/2 lobster), a generous portion of sausage & chicken, garnished w/green (Not yellowed) peas & red peppers, & DELICIOUS!!! The menu says it's "For Two", but it's actually large enough for 3, or even 4 people-Really! The soft-shell crabs were also a large portion (3), not because of the # of them, but because of the size of each. Crispy, well-coated, tasty. They actually give you a choice of how you want them cooked-So we opted for breaded & fried (Can't comment on other versions). Accompanying veggies were nicely, but not overly done, w/a slight crisp bite & retaining (like the peas) all of the green. Too many other places completely overcook green veggies (ie., broccoli, green beans, snow peas, etc,), so this was greatly appreciated. Finished off the meal w/tiramisu, which is in-house made, & served in an individual cup serving-Very fresh & satisfying. Our service was friendly, prompt, & attentive, which was nice. Didn't feel rushed or neglected in any way. One minor point: Not thrilled that there is an automatic 20% added to every bill, regardless of size of party (I understand if it were automatic for parties of 6 or more). More discretion should be given to the diner to decide on 15/18/20+%. The view was perfect-Sunny day, baby blue sky, fluffy white clouds, & boats going by without a care in the world.....sigh.....if only we could bottle perfect pictures. Had such a wonderful time, & since we were looking for a venue for a nice birthday bash, we took a "look-see" at the "Piano Room" which we found is just what we were looking for (The view was even MORE PERFECT than from the main dining room). In the process of planning for that now-Will report back in a few months after the event to let everyone know how it went :)!!!

I hadn’t been here for 30 years but remembered the place fondly. I think it has new owners now because I do not remember it being Portuguese. The red brick building is very US American colonial in architectural style: the interior is modern but classic. I loved the red couch in the waiting area by the back lit wine cellar. The marble bar was quite elegant but a bit cold with all the glass. The food was varied and delicious with an emphasis on seafood. I didn’t see Rodizio ovens or the skewers so that didn’t sound like a great option. I had the grilled jumbo shrimp in garlic & wine. They come shell & legs on, which makes them a p.i.t.a. to eat but they were huge & delicious. Very flavorful. DH had the grilled salmon which looked like a double portion. Both of our meals were served with a fresh vegetable medley sautéed to perfection – al dente & crisp with all the flavor. I hate mushy vegetables. The salmon came with “roasted” potatoes but they looked more like peeled round boiled potatoes out of a can so I was not impressed with them. I was served the traditional Portuguese potatoes that look like meatier chips The food is Expensive (note the capital E). It was never a cheap place way back when but $100 for lunch is a lot. The portions were hearty. My glass of wine was more like two glasses so that was a value. The warm bread with butter or olive oil was lovely on a cold afternoon. There is exposed brick around the room in the downstairs pub. It’s an open kitchen now surrounded by plexiglass so you can see how clean everything is. There is no social distancing between tables but we ate at an off time, after lunch on a Sunday, so there were few other diners. I liked the way they set the tables with white tablecloths, red napkins and the 4 sparkling glasses placed diagonally across the tables. The bar is small so this is not some place to come hang out & grab a drink. It all seemed more casual – jeans are OK – then the very elegant upstairs I remembered from dinner long ago where my date at the time wore a suit. The water views are relaxing. I would love to come back & dine outside on the huge deck we saw which was closed for the winter but we live too far away. Large outdoor space heaters were prevalent so they probably extend the shoulder seasons. We did not have any of the service problems other reviewers complained about. Even in Covid shortages there seemed to be plenty of staff. I will agree that the hostess acted like we were an inconvenience.

Went to this place for lunch with six friends. I hadn't eaten there in 30 years, but I heard it was redone nicely after Hurricane Sandy .... and it was. The main dining room is bright and airy, with nice water views. Everything got off to a good start. We had a friendly, "Johnny on the spot" waiter who took our drink orders and served up some EXCELLENT white Sangria....along with delicious, crusty bread (with olive oil and butter). 3 of us had the 1/2 doz. Blue Point Oysters, which were fresh and delicious for $18. I shared the Seafood Paella for two with a friend. The Paella was delicious and chock full of seafood. Its big enough to serve 3 if not 4. And at $42, it was a relative bargain. One friend had Soft Shell Crabs (Fried), which he enjoyed very much. Two others had burgers. One was ordered Medium Rare, and the other well done. To be honest, they were both well done. My friend who wanted it medium rare ate half of it, but was disappointed. I would have sent it back. The one who ordered it well done asked for mustard, but the waiter said there was no mustard in the house. Kind of strange not to have mustard in a restaurant of that size. "Rodizio" is offered at lunch, for the same price as dinner. They don't come around with meats and cut them at the table. You just get a plate full of food. At a nearby Portuguese restaurant "Fernandes 3", you can get Rodizio for lunch at a discounted lunch price of $25.99 (about half the price of the Armory), and the table side service Rodizio eaters are used to. They said it was because of COVID, and that may be, but other places serve Rodizio the traditional way. We got out of there for about $60/p.p, incl. tax and tip. That's kind of expensive, given that half of us didn't have appetizers, and two people only had burgers. I didn't hate this place, in fact I quite enjoyed it despite the aforementioned comments. But, we all clearly preferred FERNANDEZ 3, for a more robust menu, prices that are about 2/3rd of what they are at the Armory, and the more traditional serving of Rodizio. As with everything, your mileage may vary

I was a loyal customer at Seabras Armory until my last visit. Very disappointed from the beginning to the end. The restaurant didn’t smell pleasant, the floor was very slippery and two plates on my table were chipped. I don’t like the fact that they still charge you for gratuity even if the waiter never comes back to check up on you. Poor service and not to mention, they jacked up the price to double digits. I would never visit this place again and I would never ever recommend to anyone.

Before I begin I want to mention I was always a faithful customer to this restaurant before Covid. What happened? New managers? Wow so disappointing. Where do I begin? First, the table was not ready for my family of 4. They sat us at a table with 6 spotty, streaky glasses, glitter on a plate, 2 napkins, and setting of 3 utensils. The waiter was frantic working half the room by himself (He did the best he can under the circumstances). He was doing everything. Most of the time there wasn't anyone around. One major reason my family and I come is for their beautiful atmosphere on the water but I could not enjoy the scenery because I was constantly looking for someone to service us for things that kept going wrong. Next, the pitcher of water had a leak causing the WHOLE table to get wet. Instead of changing the linen he just put a napkin in the one area mostly wet in front of my husband, which also got soaked. At this point I needed a nice drink to calm me down but that didn't happen until I was almost done with my appetizer. While I was eating my appetizer my dinner came yes my dinner. I didn't get to enjoy my drink or my appetizer. Finally everything looks good, can’t wait to eat but I can't because I have no nut cracker to break open my lobster, no little fork to pull out the lobster meat, and no bowl to put my shells in. Guess how long it took to get that? When we finished our meals we asked for coffee. The coffee was brought to us with coffee grinds all on top of the cup. At this point my husband and I laughed because it was a joke. We attempted to taste the water down coffee and thought it was tea we argued about it being tea or coffee that is how bad it was. There is so much more to say but they are minor like our waters never being filled maybe because the pitcher was cracked and not replaced. Very disappointed especially when we received our bill and yes they still charged us for the water down coffee we returned as well as added their own gratuity for a family of 4 and on the bill it said family of 6. BTW I would have given more than what they were asking but at this point I said enough is enough. This all falls on management. Where was the waiter's assistance for such a high price restaurant? Almost all the problems that occurred were because he had no help. Shame on management for raising the price and not providing good service

We used to go on a regular basis, I called to make a reservation, I was told they don't take reservation, when we got there it was 2 hours waiting time, hostess and some of the waitresses are so rude, we felt. We made 3 attempts on different weekends with not luck at all. We love their food but we are not going back there. I hope the owner make some changes

Friendly service at this waterfront restaurant. The shrimp salad was amazing with so many shrimp. Good social distancing and plenty of covered outdoor seating.
