How do I access my Hotmail emails and get to Inbox with this new Outlook.com

Let me answer your question about the difference between Outlook and Outlook.com.

Outlook is a mail client that you need to download and install on your computer as an application. When we say Outlook, it is Microsoft Office Outlook. After installing Outlook on your computer, you can then add your Microsoft account on the application for you to be able to use it to send and receive emails and also other things.

Outlook.com is the web based email that you can login to using your Microsoft account through https://www.outlook.com. You do not need to download any application to use Outlook.com. You can access it using any supported browser.

As mentioned by my colleague Johan_d., you can access your emails in the web version of Outlook.com. by simply typing http://www.outlook.com in the address bar of any supported browser, and signing in from there using your Microsoft account. You don't need to search for this thread.
