Their website could be a bit convoluted with dates and times. Easiest thing I did was park at the Jasper stop in a public lot right next to the Streetcar stop. Parking was $1 CAD per hour. The trip got to the Farmer's Market in no time. 25 mins. or less. The round trip ticket was worth the discounted price. Pay attention to the schedule as times and days of operation change with the seasons.

This is a simple and fun trip for the family at a good cost.
We hopped on at Whyte Avenue and road to the other end (Jasper Ave). You have to pay cash to ride so bring along cash.
The conductor will help you on and there is a lot of seating. The ride (return trip) was under and hour. The view atop the High Level Bridge is amazing.
You can head to the other end and get off and walk around the Legislature grounds and then catch a later street car and come back then. Just make sure to note the time for the last street car.

Belle balade dans un trawmay de 1912, restauré. et remis en service par des passionnés. La plus belle chose qu'on est ait à Edmonton.
Ne pas hésitez, cela permet de rejoindre le centre ville de façon agréable et d'avoir un beau panorama.

I had ridden the street car across the High Level bridge with my Grandma more than 70 years ago when there was regular service part of the regular Edmonton Transit System. This was retired when buses replaced streetcars. My wife and I had procrastinated long enough about doing this. The trip over the river with the beautiful fall foliage was nothing short of spectacular. The return ticket was only 8 bucks. Our volunteer conductor did a super job of giving us some of the history or the city and the ride. Once at the north end of the run we disembarked and walked over to an ice cream shop. The return trip was just as great. I will encourage visitors and friends to take this little piece of heritage. Don’t put it off but I do suggest that you do it in the fall.

We used the streetcar to travel from Downtown to Strathcona so we could spend an hour or two looking around the shops on Whyte Avenue before returning on the streetcar later. Many people just stay on the streetcar and shuttle between both ends of the line as a return trip.
The service is run by a team of volunteers who are clearly proud of the line and rolling stock. It's just a pity the service closes in early October each year. The car was so clean and well restored providing a wonderful trip down memory lane.
The view as you travel over the High Level bridge straddling the North Saskatchewan River are amazing and a real photo opportunity.

We had a pleasant time riding the old timey streetcar across the high level bridge. The cost was only $7 round trip, and the view of downtown and the river valley was one of the best Edmonton has to offer. You get a leisurely ride in a 75-year-old streetcar and can get off to explore old town Strathcona, the Provincial Legislature buildings, and downtown all in one excursion. If you want to see some of the best Edmonton has to offer, then the high level streetcar is the way to do it.

Very cool views you can't see any other way. But what ruined it for us is the 7 people who all took their masks off as soon as they got on the very crowded train - and nobody enforced the rules. Makes everyone uncomfortable...not okay.

Hi, sorry it took so long to answer, real busy with this covid thing.
The simple straight forward answer is, yes. The conductor is on the platform and takes your money and gives you your ticket. Once on board and underway, he will punch your ticket. If you have purchased a round trip ticket, keep it with you in a safe place after the conductor has punched it, as you will need to show it to be punched on the return trip or have to pay again for the return trip. I hope this answers your question. I had a great time on the round trip, hope that you do too, and have a great day.

The ride doesn't take long....approximately 20-25 minutes one way. It is well worth it as the bridge is high and you have a good vantage point. You can get off the streetcar and walk around the Alberta Legislature grounds, look around at shops in the downtown area or stop for coffee. The streetcar goes both ways so you can return to your departure point when you are finished downtown.

Right across He street from the Strathcona terminal is a big paid parking lot 5 bucks for 12 hours or so. Look on google maps and you will see it

So nobody answers their phone number and both emails bounce back. Anyone know if we can FOR SURE pay for one way only (website only lists round trip). And does anyone know what the parking rates are for the lot on the Jasper pick up?

The fare is $3 one way or you can pay $6 for a ticket which you can use for your return trip at any time, on any car, on any day.
If we board at the Old Strathcona platform, can we ride the loop and get off there?
And how long would that take?

My husband is a driver. He's not sure but thinks it would depend on the driver and number of people on the car. Your best answer would be the other suggestion to use the email contact on their website. Better to know for sure before uou go.
