Excellent service from Carol in reservations.
I haven't actually checked in yet, but wanted to give a shout out to the reservations clerk who has been assisting me, Carol. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make our reservations happen - two rooms for two nights each. She is the ultimate hospitality professional - efficient, knowledgeable, friendly. Excellent service.

My stay was easy, comfortable, enjoyable from checkin to the amazing buffet.
Stayed the night before meeting family for Thanksgiving buffet. Hotel was amazing and easy in all aspects from valet parking (free) to check out. They also offered to hold my luggage and car after checkout as our Thanksgiving buffet time was after checkout. Food at the Verona Cafe adjacent to the lobby was great for dinner and breakfast to take back to my room. Enjoyed the beautiful views while dining in my room.

    Amazing suite, and great property.
We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. We ended up booking a suite, and it was an amazing room. This room exceeded my expectations. I appreciated having two bathrooms, which is really nice when you’re trying to get ready. The bed was very soft and comfortable. We were on the top floor so the view was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here for any event. You will be very happy booking a stay here. When booking they did not have a king suite so we had a book a double queen for our anniversary. We will be going back booking a king suite soon. And just to top it off, we actually won at the casino, which is always amazing.

Could be exception but appears corners are cut
Could be FANTASTIC but a nice hotel with average service. I am really torn as to how many stars to give this place as it is beautiful but the owners are relying too much on the looks of the property and are weak on the details. The room is beautiful. The property smells new, and lacks any cigarette smoke odor. The air is so fresh I could tell the carpet was new in the room I was in even though they have been opened for eight months now. The bathroom has a large sink with quartz countertops, a backlit mirror, walk in shower with glass door and large shower head and is easily big enough to accommodate two. The closet was small but there was so much storage space in the room you will easily have more than enough storage. A easily 46” if not larger TV, with high speed internet with excellent signal, king size bed (in my room) with chaise lounge and panoramic windows. The first thing I was surprised by was that they do not provide daily maid service. The room is only serviced, every third day or at checkout. As I only stayed for two nights, I cannot comment on the service of the housekeeps but as far as property maintenance in my room there was grout missing from between some of the tiles in the shower. There was no bag or tags for laundry service, nor was there a bag with additional pillows or linens which I often use as usually I find the rooms too cold and like more pillows than is customarily provided. The Hotel offers no room service although there are several restaurants, and with food quality that was ok, not good but edible. The only exception was the Garlic Fire in the Apex Grill were smothered with garlic and Parmesan which I enjoyed some of my friends found them to be too garlicky. I used the pool and spa while at the resort and there was black mold growing in the spa. No towels are provided at the pool and spa which for the image the property is attempting to portray reflects as poorly. In addition something that I found unacceptable was one of the managers kept, looking at my friend and I and was hiding out behind a wall like she was trying to listen in on the conversation. After several minutes, she left but was replaced by another staff member like she had asked them to take her place. Granted it was March and there was no one at the pool but this was at 1 PM not late at night and clearly within the open hours of the area. If the manager had a question or concern approaching me and making small talk is much preferable than making me so uncomfortable I left. My stay was enjoyable overall but I have concerns as to the maintenance and how clean and sanitized the property will remain when maid service including the basics like vacuuming are not occurring daily. Bottom line whether or not I would stay again depends mainly on the rate. Given the level of hotel services I personally would not pay over $99 a night, as although the property looks beautiful it lacks the extras that make a 4 star type of hotel a joy to stay at.

I recommend going to other casinos if you want to have a good time and a better chance of walking out with more cash than you came with. Redhawk is a sad place and with all the other casinos in the Sacramento area there is no reason to waste your time at a casino with the tightest slots around. I know this from experience and when compared to Cache Creek or Thunder Valley, Red hawk is simply a third rate casino with bad food to boot. If your liking for a casino with a good rewards program, then Redhawk is not the place you want to be. If you reach their top tier Elite status you will find that the rewards are sub par and instead of congratulating you for reaching their top level they continue to remind you that to remain at that level that you need to play at least 21,000 points in a one month period. That means you need to play through $21,000!!! And, for that you get their so-called VIP parking which is just a fenced off area on the sixth floor of their parking garage that isn't even close to the entrance. You also get a $40 food voucher every day and that would be a satisfactory reward if they had any restaurants with good food, but they do not. At Elite status you will probably average about $50 free play twice a week for two months if you are lucky. Most of the time they will cut that back substantially, mid month even, if they decide you are not playing enough money in their casino and, believe me, they expect you to play a fortune compared to all the other casinos in the Sacramento area or anywhere for that matter. I get $50 free play twice a month at Cache Creek and have received it the entire month of November and have been notified that I will also receive it for December. Cache Creek awarded the free play to me after only going there one time in October when I played through about $400 and left there with more money than I came in with. I hope this review will help people when choosing a casino where they II intend to have a good time. I understand that it is unreasonable to believe you should win all the time at a casino, but winning at Redhawk is really against all odds.

Used to be fair odds. Over the past few years the machines have been changed to lower odds. Regular patrons all have noticed and jokes out it. You can definitely tell when machines have been tightened. Friday after 8 pm is the worst. Weekends in general are bad especially after 4pm. The new management is really turning people away with lowering free play to regulars and handing out cheap gifts that look like they came from the dollar store . The crowd up there has rapidly declined due to the lack of luster and seem almost thuggish. The miwoks are trying to take more money for people to build a hotel up there. Check out the late night crowd up there . A hotel would sink the place and turn it Into a drug dealer hangout. The drink stations are never cleaned and the coffee is weak and cheap. The staff is nice but the honest ones have left now since they started cheating people with changing slot odds. The food at high limit used to be good .now they put hot sauce on everything and the cheeseburgers are mushy and gross.notning is fresh anymore up there. They have a great buyer for the gift shop but I'm sure that will get tacky as well . Oh and when you go on a weekend , the parking will be full yet there will be 15 open spaces that say for the tribe only. Which, if they wanted to be successful they would cater to clients. That's just business 101. Eat before you go, since food is gross ..Bring 20 dollars for fun because the new machines insure you will lose. And only have one drink . Chp pulls people over in parking lot for not having turning signal on. Better yet keep driving and go up to Tahoe. Indian casinos ha e really taken a dive lately.

The Waterfall buffet has been replaced by a food court that uses the same space and serving lines as the Waterfall. The food is pretty expensive for what it is. If you drink sod, it now costs you $2.50 for one can. If you want to go a little cheaper, Soda is still offered on the gaming floors for free; just take a couple cups with you.
That said none of the meals that me and my friends were worth the higher price that is being charged. The only advantage to eating here is that you do have an air conditioned seating.
Big mistake in closing the buffet. They could have gone to employees servicing the buffet food to you.

Tried it one more time..Valley Tour bus from Stockton. This bus travels to Red Hawk Casino..$10 free play....$5 to ride. This time we left 25 minutes late due to the same individuals being catered too(the Dr.). The bus was full and some of the Dr.'s group (3) couldn't go. They got on the bus, off the bus , back on the bus (the Dr. wanted to find a way for them to ride). The coordinator even asked the driver about them sitting on the floor. Wow! They didn't go.
Next
Individual sitting in the front seat with the coordinator, popped a 32oz. bottled beer-Hurricane. Yes, like he was at home. Nothing was said by the bus driver or coordinator. The smell was loud and the individual intoxicated.

I visited the new Apex entertainment area on Sunday. I purchased a $50 game card (plus $2 card fee) at a self-serve kiosk. The credit card reader was broken, so I had to use cash. I immediately regretted my decision. 95% of the games did not work. They either would not read the card, read the card and malfunctioned, or charged the card and then the game would not work. Game attendants did not know how to fix the games and there were no signs saying games were "Out of Order."

I waited in a very long line to get a refund. At first, I spoke to a cashier who then walkie-talkied her supervisor. They refused to issue a refund for the card, instead offering additional credits for future play. I explained that my friends were from out of town and we had no intention of returning. They took my information, took the game card, and told me someone from Embed (game company) would contact me for a refund.

Three days later, no one had contacted me. I called Red Hawk's main phone line. An operator took down my information. I asked to be transferred to someone from Apex. That person took down my information and said their supervisor would call me back immediately. I received no call back.

Had I been able to use a credit card, I would have already filed a chargeback. It is obscene for a multi-million dollar operation to screw a customer out of $52, essentially one hand of blackjack, when a simple refund would have solved the issue. I have no intention of returning.

Their comping is insulting . They give you a 10 coupon which brings the price to above the rate charged by other casinos . Now they have discontinued the buffet to enforce even higher food pricing . The whole fun of a casino is massive amounts of food for reasonable price. Now they are not even worth going to anymore .

Great staff. Great food and drinks. An oasis from the chaos.. Red Hawk is my favorite destination because of how they treat me and their staff. They value their customers and care about their staff.. Great team of hosts who are proactive and guest centric.. Also,, they typically employ bar and wait staff as good as any I have ever seen in the business. Military and vets get an extra $20 freeplay every Wednesday. There's a big reason why Red Hawk is consistently rated #1.abd I keep going back. Keep up the great work, Red Hawk!

This place causes more frustration and aggravation than fun. Bonus game are next to impossible to get and when you do, they pay next to nothing. For example, 5 free spins after putting $50 into the machine only to be awarded a prize of 60 cents. It’s 80 cents per spin to play. It has become very obvious that they are robbing the players to pay for the new hotel and APEX. Which by the way opened with a burger joint in it where a burger now costs $14. Enough said. My opinion, and I have been patronizing this place since it opened , has become a giant rip off. Go to Jackson! Go to Thunder Valley, Go to Hot Rock Hotel, Go to Tahoe or Reno but stay the hell away from here if you are looking for fun. My weekY visit there is over!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Today I took my parents out to red Hawk Casino. My mother is disabled and cannot walk for long periods of time. So I requested for a wheelchair. But they have a new system in place now where in order for you to use one of their wheelchairs you must give them your drivers license or ID. Which I had no problems with giving them it because my mom needed the wheelchair to get around in there establishments. But upon returning the wheelchair to get my DL back they could not find it, they did not even know who had it! We had to wait over 45 minutes for them to track down who even had my driver license and where it was. So just FYI if you are planning to come to the establishment and need to borrow a wheelchair please plan ahead!!!

By far this used to be my favorite casino. Today I found out they changed their point system and after spending about $3000.00 between me and my partner we were told no more food comps, you do get what you spend but after all our money lost we got a total of $61.00. If I lost all my money which I did today I knew at least I would leave with a nice meal! But not any more…. Definitely not coming back. They are building their hotel by ripping people off and cutting every corner possible. Very very disappointed…
