John was born and raised in Vancouver. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Politics from U.B.C. in 1988 and Bachelor of Law from University of Victoria in 1991.
Since being called to the bar in 1992, John has worked as a litigation lawyer focusing on personal injury, estate litigation and real estate litigation.
When not practicing law, John enjoys time with his daughter hiking, biking, or sking the local mountains around his home.
